Daughter's Favorite Kitchen gadget
My very petite 80 pound 13 year old loves this little tool. It's large enough to fit bigger apples and sturdy enough that she feels safe and doesn't need to wrestle too hard to get the apples sliced. Easy to clean and a great asset for those with braces whose favorite fruit is apples :)

Works well and is sturdy
What can I say? It slices apples and is easy to use. My last one (different brand) broke, and this one is holding up well.

Easily concors big apples - and I don't mean New York City
This was exactly what I wanted. The other apple slicer I ordered wasn't big enough for real apples. This one might even be too-big, but that doesn't matter because it works with small apples too. I like the big Granny Smith apples that come in the Costco blister pack - this thing cut through them with ease - and not jamming up against the sides like the other one (different manufacturer) I have.

Perfect size for larger apples, but not sturdy enough.
Perfect size for larger apples. However, the blades just don't seem as sharp. It takes a lot of effort. Also, this isn't as well made as the three other apple corers I've owned. It worries me every time I have to really push hard that it's going to crack. I don't think this one is going to last very long before it breaks.

XL is the Way to Go With Apple Slicers
I bring apples to the office as a work snack alternative to our tempting vending machine. I've been using this slicer for a few months now, and it's held up well.As someone who slices a lot of apples - as a true expert in the field of apple sliceronomics - I would definitely recommend buying this larger size slicer over the standard size. I have a normal size slicer as well, and 1 out of every 5 or 10 apples or just doesn't fit into it, which is frustrating. This larger apple slicer costs a little more, but in my use it has yet to meet an apple it couldn't slice.

You better have strong hands!
It takes a significant amount of force to cut an apple. And we found it next to impossible to cut all the way through. A knife is way easier.

Good and sharp
I only gave the "easy to use" 4 stars because it takes a bit of pushing to start, but works GREAT! Perfect size cuts for snacking on an apple. I had the "8 cut" before and love this so much better!
