This is a great story and an excellent movie! It shows what can happen when you really investigate the facts rather than listen to rhetoric. Based on a true story of the author's journey in finding faith.

Excellent movie

Good movie, clean

This movie is absolutely one of the best I have watched recently! I really enjoyed it ! I was not expecting the high production value, the acting, the story line, and the wonderful information that was in it. I am always looking for a good Christian movies, but somehow, many of them have disappointed me through the years. Even though the subjects were always intriguing and so important, many Christian movies always "feel flat" to me. This one did not fall flat, instead it is very gripping. I have already read significant parts of the Case for Christ book, and this movie does cover the most important parts, and being in the form of a movie it solidifies in my memory many of the wonderful points Lee Stobel made in his book ! I am a visual person and learner. Another movie I would recommend that is available to amazon prime video is Acts Visual bible. That is verse by verse the movie of Acts and it really helps me very much, reading and watching the bible on the TV at the same time ! Anyways the acting in this moving is excellent, unlike many of the Christian movies I have seen! I hope they can make more Christian movies of this quality. This one is highly recommended. I will definitely watch this movie again with my family! Glory be to God !

What an amazing true story. Great acting and very well done. Lee reminds me of many people who are atheists and have hardened hearts. What an amazing turnaround. God bless Lee Stroebel for telling his story and thank you for making a movie about it. God bless Leslie for praying for God to remove his heart of stone and give him a new heart of flesh. I pray that God would do the same for my brother in Jesus' name Amen.

A really enjoyable, reasonable account of why Jesus was needed and why He came.

The film is based upon the true story of his life, and as with any movie, the director has to limit the amount of data crammed into the movie to about 1-1/2 hours. Everything about the video was masterfully depicted, very genuine from the characters involved, and believable from the perspective of how things played out. If you're looking for this video to be a great evangelism tool, it may help bring a skeptic out of skepticism, an unbeliever out of passivity, or cause some important questions/considerations to arise in the hearts of the viewers. However, it cannot bring a sinner over the line to Salvation in and of itself. I haven't read the book, I haven't gotten into depths of his life, so I'm only commenting on the merits and limitations of the video itself, with an evangelistic motive. Today's apostate Christianity has all but eliminated all references to the Blood of Jesus Christ out of 'outreach work.' As a result, the main theme of focus on Jesus (if people do this at all, anymore) is the death. Also, as I believe apostasy has its roots in the fraudulent English Bible version problem, this movie does not reference the Authorized King James Bible for it's reliable, 400-year trusted track record, generated and produced in a time in history where Christianity readily relied upon the doctrine of "Providential Preservation" before the later lie of "Original Autographs Only" came along and slowly eroded the mainstream's trust in God's preserved words. If God's words are eroded, erased, paraphrased, changed, added to, the only result is a product of man's mind and God's mind is lost to the reader. The result is a dead book of man's words, rather than life-giving, faith-building, quickening words of God. In this perspective, the movie can only go so far. I don't know what all happened at the moment of his Salvation, but would it have been so troublesome for the director to simply write in a bit of detail about the shedding of Blood as the means to Salvation into the narrative? No, I can't see that would have been a stretch. I will share the movie, I will keep the movie in the collection, but it didn't go far enough to be a quality evangelistic tool as it omits mention of the Blood-atonement and uses Alexandrian-text based bible quotations which are modern apostate pseudo-scripture. All in all, excellent video that handily brings the viewer to deep consideration.

Fabulous read. To have experts to explain issues gives a greater understanding of the gospels.

This movie is brilliantly enacted. It is a realistic depiction of what really goes on in peoples' minds when the topic of God is brought up. Essentially we are all proud for nothing and Lee Strobel's own pride came in the way of finding truth. His search for the facts and the truth about God brought him to a present reality he didn't expect. This is exactly what makes our expectations amazing - when God blows our bubble and reveals Himself in ways that makes our search small in comparison to His search of us. I shall never forget what Ambrose said to Augustine, "You can't find Him. He finds you."
