How many blocks in this tub?

tub smaller than it looks, 15 blocks in there , first blocks I put out worked good no more noise from loft

To anyone who's used this in a loft, did the rodents go outside to die or did you have to retrieve the carcases?

I had to retrieve them they do take the bait back to the nest but I did find two

Yes. One nibble is enough to do for a rat but if all your blocks have gone then that is the time to replace them. The difficulty is that a large infestation will need more blocks to deal with it. After a short time, the blocks will remain untouched. After that, check them occasionally in case there is a new infestation.

Is it harmful to squirrels?

Yes it's harmful to anything that eats it. That's why it needs to go into the rat holes not left where they pass because others animals will find it. Squirrels will find it in bait stations.

Effective and efficient

Effective. The video of use was what persuaded me to this product . Delivered exactly when promised . And in use in 15minutes . Great for outdoor bait boxes

I put these in my outdoor bait boxes, You just hang them on a rod in the box. The idea is the rat eats the block (or part of it) and later it dies. I do prefer outdoor rat traps, but as I have a couple of bait boxes I thought I would get these, as you can easily tell when they have been nibbled. (Not easy with the poisoned grain) The blocks don't smell as they are coated in a wax, they are very effective on the rats that gnaw on them. You can't use these on rat traps (But they are not designed for that)
