This cord was exactly what I needed , Right when I needed it!I was setting up to sell stuff on ebay, get a collection of photos of stuff I was moving , and do streaming . Having to charge the batteries over and over would have been a nightmare and with cannons batteries constantly wearing out after only 7 months to a point they were useless this was a time saver I needed!The cord has the distance you need and the power you need. it won't over heat and it's ready for use right out of the box.it's worth the price and worth the time it took to look into it!

Works for my Canon EOS Rebel T6. Haven’t had it long or used it much at all. But it definitely works for me.

It powers my Canon DSLR camera with AC instead of the camera battery. The camera battery can be depleted with long exposures, so powering the camera with an external power source eliminates that problem. For me it would be better if it ran on 12 volts DC instead of house current, but I solved that problem with a small AC inverter. Works great, and the price is reasonable.

OK so i have no idea if it worked or not after buying it and it not working then returning it. I just noticed this camera has a flap for a the cable for the dummy battery to run through so i was never able to close the battery door.

It works. My use is a dedicated piece on a gantry for taking repeat shots from a fixed distance, so its light weight construction doesn't concern me, but for folks who regularly go mobile, probably want something better built. That said, it does the job for very little money.

I actually thought I received the wrong item because the box had an UPC / SKU and label for "T3i, T4i, etc.." and no mention of the T3.I also could not figure out how the heck to get this battery inside, and I looked at the OEM batteries and the "shell" that is actually just direct power. The contacts were different so I thought I definitely got the wrong item.However, after checking some more reviews I realized that this old thing, this T3 I've had for so many years, had a little rubber grommet I have never seen before. It allowed me to "route" the power cable out of the battery compartment, which allows the door to shut, which also allows the camera to finally power on and work.Had I not known this or to look more closely at the battery door area, I would have returned this.

This allows me to be able to have unlimited recording time with my camera due to the battery life of the camera batteries when filming is super short, but with this pug in battery I don't have to worry about my camera dying with out me knowing and wasting my time thinking I am recording when the camera died 20 mins ago.

I purchased this item In December 2023 as a backup and immediately put it away without first testing it to see that it worked properly. I opened it yesterday to use and it did not work at all. I'm very disappointed because it is too late for me to return it. In my future purchases, I'll just make sure I open it right away and test/view it's condition.
