How do you clean this heating pad? i have one and use it religiously. my back hasn't felt this good in 20 years. thing is, it stinks now. help?

Hi, Thanks for your question and when you clean the heating pad ,just use a gentle non-abrasive soap, with a slightly moist towel ，gently wipe the stones, once completely dry, you can start using the heating pad. hope this could help you ! Best regards

How can I get a replacement power controller?

The cord on our controller got hung up in the recliner chair and was sliced (lots of sparks). I contacted UTK and I received a new controller in 2 days. They also gave me 10.00 off the price (50.00 instead of 60.00). Back in business. Thanks UTK. Love this heating pad.

Are the stones heavy? Wondering if they are thin slivers or decent weighted, enough to make it feel almost like a mini weighted blanket?

Fairly weighty. Definitely not slivers. Does indeed feel like a weighted blanket though not as soft.

Can this be used if you have metal hip replacements?

Metal and artificial joints or implants can heat up at a different rate than the body which is why the use of infrared heat is not recommended for those who have them. If you have metal or any other surgical implants in their bodies should consult their doctor prior to using heating devices. Certainly, the use of a deep heating infrared wrap must be discontinued if any pain is experienced near such implants.
