is this a quick charger?

No, it's not a quick charger. Only charges at the slower rate, even with the fast charge cable. The description is not accurate. Samsung's fast charger charges at a power of 9V x 1.67A = 15 Watts. The basic Samsung charger charges at a power of 5V x 2A = 10 Watts. This charger is 5V x 2.1A = 10.5 Watts. Last I checked 10.5 is less than 15. It's not a fast charger. I should have read the details.

Is that 2.1A max for each slot, or total?

Normally, the max number in this case 2.1 amps is the total. So 2.1 max if only using one port at a time and a total of 2.1 max total when both are used. If the device you are using tries to draw more than 2.1 amps, the voltage will drop so the total power is limited to 5v x 2.1a = 10.5 watts. If you try to draw more than 2.1 amps, the voltage tries to drop so the total remains about 10.5 watts maximum limit. 5 volts is the standard regulated voltage for USB. So when they say 2.1a, they mean 2.1 x 5 = 10.5 watts maximum. If you try to draw more than 10.5 watts, the regulation may cause this to stop working to protect this and the devices plugged into it. It is useful to know that watts is power and that voltage is always 5 volts for USB and to know how to convert between amps and watts when the voltage is fixed. Also, a USB device generally uses very little amps and many use less than 0.5 amp and when you are charging something, the amps tends to drop as the device gets closer to fully charged. For most USB devices, 2.1 amps is 100% plenty to fully power two USB devices at the same time.

What are the dimensions of this charger?

Terri, measured them and they are 1.25 inches on all four sides. Hope this helps. John
