This gold is fabulous
I really, really like this paint. I know it says for multi-surface, but I ended up just using it on a canvas. I used it to highlight my clouds in my painting and I think it turned out really pretty. I would definitely buy this paint again. The thickness of this paint is perfect as it's not too thin or thick. Drying time is normal. I don't think it's too transparent but it is blendable with other paints.

Love The Copper Metallic Paint
This copper cuivre metallic paint is shimmering and beautiful. I love the finish it has. I'm using it for a project on floral leaves. It's good quality paint.

Gilded Elegance
In my pursuit of achieving an aged bronze look for my DIY Christmas ornaments, I stumbled upon the FolkArt Multi-Surface Metallic Paint in the enchanting shade of Metallic Copper. This paint turned out to be the secret ingredient that added a touch of gilded elegance to my crafting endeavors.Rich and Authentic Color:Perfect Metallic Hue: The Metallic Copper shade of this paint is nothing short of mesmerizing. It captures the essence of aged bronze with its rich and authentic hue, instantly transforming plain surfaces into objects of sophistication. I used it in combination with antique gold metallic paint that I had in my craft box to achieve a range of distressed metal appearance and depth. I used a sponge to apply the paint in an organic textured way.Versatility and Ease of Application:Multi-Surface Magic: True to its name, FolkArt's Multi-Surface Metallic Paint lives up to its promise of versatility. I used it on a variety of surfaces, including clear ornament balls, to achieve the desired aged bronze effect. The paint adhered seamlessly, and its consistency made application a breeze. I do want to mention that I used this product in combination with other acrylic paint and only over surfaces that were primed. The FolkArt Multi-Surface Metallic Paint in Metallic Copper has become my go-to choice for achieving a gilded, aged bronze look in my DIY projects. Its rich color, versatility, and ease of application (combined with the fantastic price point!) make it a standout choice for anyone looking to add a touch of metallic elegance to their creations. The paint's adhesion and durability ensure that the crafted pieces maintain their allure over time.

I bought these to paint my large pot.
There’s a large cement pot with a plant in it…it was here already. We like it a lot, but the color has faded , and I thought “ let’s spice it up with a metallic paint! “I looked and finally decided on this one- metallic copper. I cleaned and scrapped it, then started with the paint. It goes on easy, just like any other craft paint..almost too easy… it was fun. I waited between coats as it said..it looks great. I hope this helps..cheers

Could be shinier, and spraying with clear coat may dim the metallic look
If you have to choose between them, I think the Folk Art glitters are shinier and more stunning than these metallics so far, but these metallics are nice enough.Pictures could probably do them better justice, but they're close. I've uploaded a color chart where I have painted several different kinds of acryllic paint, including these Folk Art metallics and multi surface metallics, and put different glitters over some of them (and painted the glitters by themselves). See my glitters review for more info about them. In the chart, DF stands for Folk Art's Dragonfly Glaze (red-violet-blue shift, but so far I haven't really seen any shift. Its color is more just dependent on the background color it's painted on.)One of the other pictures is of various splatter and painting techniques on blue construction paper. (Like flicking a paint-loaded toothbrush). Platinum metallic would make beautiful stars (but white may still work better depending on what you want.)Overall, the metallic paints are fun, but red garnet is not very shiny at all compared to the others. Pretty color, though. In the picture with the glasses toppers, I painted the bottom halves of the plastic/acrylic toppers with various paints and sprayed them after they dried with Aleene's Acrylic Sealer Gloss Finish (which worked well to protect the paint when I accidentally washed one in water with my glasses!)The top one is painted with this Folk Art Multi Surface Metallic Garnet color. There is really no shine on it at all, especially when worn vertically with the way the light hits it. The protective spray may have altered it a bit, but I noticed it was never very shiny before I sprayed it. It has 2 full coats of paint. The second topper has Folk Art Metallic Plum Prune on its bottom half (2 coats, also a beautiful color). It's not labeled as multi surface, but it did keep a little more shine on this surface. Still, the shine isn't much. To give you an idea, before I sprayed the third one with a second coat of protectant (and maybe before I painted a second coat of paint on it... having trouble remembering), the painted bottom half of it looked like the same color as the bottom half of the middle one. It was only painted with a mix of Apple Barrel NON metallic acrylics, not multi surface either, but due to the smooth surface and single coat of gloss protecting spray, it had almost the same shine and color as the Folk Art Plum Prune.Again, these are some beautiful colors, but I wish there were a way to amp up the shine more in normal indoor lighting (I've yet to see them outside in full sunlight). Still, not everyone wants a nuclear glow to their paints, so these may be perfect for you. I don't think the protecting spray hurt the shine too much, but maybe it did a little, so maybe try a different protecting spray to see if there is less loss of shine. (Does Folk Art multi surface paint even need a protectant? I should have checked!)
