Litter Refills Compatible with Your Litter Refill Cartridge

I like these less expensive, quality kitty litter disposal bags. they are easy to use, less expensive and work better, with less waste than the Litter Genie brand.

I was hesitant to buy this after reading the reviews that complained about the odor and thickness. I decided to finally purchase these because I was tired of going through one of the Litter Genie ones in a much quicker time frame than it said I would.First off, I really like that these are thinner than the name brand. After the first few uses of the Litter Genie one, I noticed that the clumps of litter and poop started getting stuck so the part that closes (to stop the odor from coming out) couldn’t close. So then I was constantly opening the container after every use, to pull the bag down to make room. It was SO ANNOYING!I figured all generic brands would be the same, but this one is quite the opposite! For one ring, I might have to open the container a couple times to make room NOT constantly like the Litter Genie brand.Also, the odor isn’t an issue. Maybe it’s because I use the Febreze or Gain litter. I will say that there is definitely an odor when you remove the bag to throw it out, but that’s how it is with all bags that need to be thrown out.This really is a great product! I highly recommend it!

Super easy to use. Be sure to save your original litter genie refill container, as you will need it for the bags. Doesn't control odor as well as the original Litter Genie Refills, but I found that sprinkling a bit of litter box deodorizer into the bottom of the litter genie, as well as into the bag, helps control it a bit better. I also empty it more frequently, to help control the smell.

I recently had to cut back on my budget which included finding a cheaper alternative to the Litter Genie refills. Ever since I bought the Litter Genia bin I've been hooked, but it was getting to expensive to keep up with the refills. I ended up ordered these, and while it took some getting used to figuring out how to get the refills into the old cartridge, they're great for the price. I've found that one refill lasts longer than the Litter Genie brand, and I haven't noticed any extra odor (I use a litter deodorizer powder which may help). I now plan to only purchase the Litter Genie brand when my current cartridge breaks, otherwise for the price I plan on mainly purchasing these in the future.

Some others said that these bags don't hold in the smell... I disagree. I feel like these bags are just as good as the name brand and there are so many it's going to last a long time. They work perfectly for what we need for a multicat household.

I used to buy these generic bags as a cheaper replacement for the name brand Litter Genie version. They were the same bags back then, if not close in quality with no discernable difference.From what I can tell, the generic version is all made by the same company, just rebranded, as I bought the generic version from 2 different generic brands.Fast forward today, with this last batch I bought as of this August, the texture and material feels softer and less heavy duty feeling. When I would scoop the litter box and place it into this bag when used in conjuction with a Litter Genie box, it would no longer contain the smell. The smell would immediately fill the room. I usually never emptied and tied the bag until it was almost full. I never had a problem with the last good batch or the original Litter Genie branded version.Even when tied off on both ends awaiting the trash, the smell would still somehow leak out of the bags. Extremely unfortunate as it would attract flies.I wonder if Litter Genie forced the generic bag maker for all of the generic brands to cease and desist their product, and forced them into making a lower quality should they want to be on the market.If what you ordered comes with the bags folded nicely and tidy like blankets, that's the new formula version that sucks. If your order comes in where it's stacked with the bag squeezed together and held into the square shape with paper tape or styrofoam, that's the good old version.With that, I have to go back to the note expensive Litter Genie brand because I can't deal with it anymore.It's still good for same day removal and trash, but leave it in for a day or two before it's full, it stinks.

Well, I got these back in September, and they are a good deal and fit for the genie. But. I finally needed to use them last week, and the first day I put them in the litter genie this happened. My dog has always been one to stick her head in the litter tray and eat poop, but in the six years I have had a cat, she has never once attempted the Genie. She literally dragged it out of the bathroom where I keep it into my living room, ripped the bag out of the cannister and ate the contents. I can only assume that the thickness of the bags is inferior to other refills and her hound nose could smell it where she could not before, and that’s why she did this. Now I have to lift the Genie off the floor when I leave the house so it is out of her reach.In fact the bags have been in a week now, and I feel like I can smell cat pee more than previously.And I have nine of them to get through.

I do like these things, they are so much cheaper than litter genie refills and they have lasted me a long time. I purchased Nov 1 and just put in my last refill and going to buy another box. I have 4 cats and usually have to tie off the bag every 3 or 4 days. The bags are very durable and holds the weight with no problem but still has a slight oder in my opinion, not bad enough to be a deal breaker tho. They are very easy to install as long as you follow the directions!! Definitely recommend if you wanna save money.

As long as you keep one of the baskets that the original refills came in, this works well.

NOT recommended. If I could rate it 0 stars, I would. It fails to contain the odor of waste and begins to smell within 2 days. I reverted to using the original genie litter refills and disposed of this product. A big waste of money.
