Helios Spherical

Finally! A helmet that not only fits my big head, but looks sweet and has an awesome-looking design and very good safety technology and construction. Cost me a bit more than my last helmet, but my head out there do. It’s so very light, has awesome ventilation, and the straps work very well too. Those are other important selling points for me.If you have a pretty big head and can afford the price, BUY this helmet. You won’t be disappointed… unless you’re not wearing it correctly. Then it’s YOUR problem, lol. On a serious note, you can always take your helmet to your local bike shop and ask them to help you fit and adjust your helmet. Don’t settle for a cheap helmet! Shop around and spend money on the only head you have!! Replace your helmet every three (3) years, or after you have an accident, God forbid. It doesn’t matter how minor the accident may have been. If you hit your head, replace the helmet.Please wear your bicycle helmets, people! Don’t be a craniotomy statistic. I worked at a trauma center for many years and we had lots of patients who had to have their skulls opened up to access their brains – all because they wanted to “look cool” and not wear a helmet.🤦🏻‍♂️

My size is either a medium or large, depending on the brand as I measure just under 59mm. This Giro Helios Spherical medium fit me very well and the adjustments to get the correct fit are perfect for comfort and safety.

I was not sure if I should get this helmet or the Giro Aries. I could not determine the difference by reading the description. I feared that the helmet might be too small but the helmet and the chin strap has plenty of room. During Covid it was hard to find bike products so I ended up buying a low-end Giro helmet that even though it was a (large) it felt very small and the chin strap was very short. I am happy to report that this helmet fits like most Giro helmets I have worn for over 20 years.It fits perfectly. This helmet is very light and comfortable. Thank you!

I bought this on Friday, and I got a car accident on Saturday. I slammed to the ground after hit the car. I did not worry about covering my head during clash. This helmet is the most comfortable helmet. also safest helmet so far in my experience. It is quit light, feel forgot I am wearing it. and great ventilation.

Great fitting dome cover, great quality and comfort. Good ventilation throughout, have used several different brands of helmets, find Giro to be the best in comfort for me.

This replaced my last giro helmet, and was my favorite helmet I own. 22mph wreck on gravel in a group, broke my helmet, bruised ribs and lots of road rash but head is perfectly fine! Buying another or an Aries!Highly recommend, the helmet moves independently to save your noggin

Great ventilation, lightweight and secure feeling. I really like the slimmer profile so you don’t look like a mushroom. I do wish they had a place to park your sunglasses but you can always slide on the back of your head. It’s got a nice front padding shown here that help divert the sweat off your face and out of your eyes. I find it collects the sweat then it drips off in clumps like water running down a window pane.

Like all Giro helmets I've tried on, this fits exceptionally well. Although I like the inclusion of the ball and socket MIPS, I do not have any interest in testing if it works better than the more "traditional" MIPS insert that is on older or less expensive helmets. What I do like about the ball and socket design is that it feels much more like you are tightening the EPP to your head instead of just tightening the liner which leads to a more secure feeling fit. Price is higher than I would want to spend, but better to invest in a helmet than almost any other piece of cycling equipment.

Great looking helmet, extremely light and strong with plenty of ventilation. A bit on the bulky side though
