CYCPLUS Bike Computer Set with Mount Wireless Cycling Computer

The Cycplus M1 is a great unit and does everything I need at a very affordable price. It is easy to set up and the digits are large enough to view while I ride. The backlight is great as I ride a lot at dawn. I had one small issue with charging and thought we had it fixed. When the problem resurfaced Steven at customer service was quick to respond and sent me a replacement unit. It works perfectly and I enjoy it greatly. So in review this is a great GPS unit with customer service that cares and stands behind their product. I Thank You …..!!!(I have since added a second M1for my wife’s bike…. She loves it too )

Overall, I do like this unit with the offset holder mount. My handle bar is tapered, so it's difficult to snug the mount tightly, but it's good enough. The day/night screen is automatic which is great. Numerics are easily readable and you can integrate other specialized apps or devices if desired. The settings adjustments and instructions have some innate obstacles and are not the most user friendly to set up, but once set up, that's it. Other nuances relate to pressing the L lower button to start and then press again to initiate the monitoring process. I've learned that patience is required in getting the GPS signals. There's an icon display that shows getting the signal which can take 30 seconds or more. Once that's accomplished, you're ready to roll.

I have only had this gps for about 2 years and at first I thought it was the perfect computer for me who likes things simple. The gps seemed to work fine until this year and now I can't say it's trustworthy at all. Several of my BEST rides were not recorded even though it showed a new workout. It often reads slower than the pace you are actually traveling, which is frustrating. I read another review saying it was spotty on trails or in wooded areas and I too have found this to be a problem. My biggest complaint is not recording my rides!! For value I would say put the $60 towards a better gps like garmin or wahoo.

I only did not give this 5 stars for reasons not directly related to its performance. The mount on the back of the unit broke when I was on a less than perfect road and then the screen cracked as a result of trying to mount it with a screw. I ordered another and they are some subtle changes which are appreciated....the screen seems brighter, the buttons are much "cleaner", and the updated software is NICE!!! used to take about 5 mins to download a ride, now it takes about 20secs!!!!Only realised after that there was a 1 year replacement warranty, but was in a rush to get on the road.
