Lisle 47900 Hose Remover Pliers

Specialty item that will get more use than expected. It’s the right tool for the job, making hose removal quick and easy. Made in USA. The spring seems to be of good quality, and it’s sturdily supported within the tool. As a small engine mechanic, it seems like I clean carbs everyday, so this is a must have tool for removing fuel lines. If I had one suggestion it’d be to design these similar to ring pliers, where they can be reversible in order to also put the lines back on. These work great even W/ pushing the rubber off plastic or corroded/ rotting fittings

Works like it should

They work!! With effort!! They are not small pliers and fitting them to get at a DPF pressure differential hose(s) was a half hour of frustration but finally the hoses were popped free of the DPF. If clearance s tight where the hoses must be pressed out, these might not function. They also mark up and chew small bits off the metal tubes because they have a bitey blade on the tube side of the plier. My tubes are a bit chewed up but I can sand that off I think.

using this is much easier to use than trying to pry a hose off with a screwdriver or pliers. especially on small engines like lawn movers and generators. simple and effective to use, has exceeded my expectations

Lisle Tools is an excellent value, quality-made tool brand. Lisle tools are not all American-made anymore; however, they represent a high-quality tool comparable to the tool truck brands. If building a specialty automotive tool set for home or professional use, you cannot go wrong with Lisle-made tools. I have used Lisle tools for decades, and I have never had issues with the quality of their construction.

Pulling rubber hose, especially FI rubber hose, off a barbed connector can be difficult. These pliers should make that job much easier. As others mentioned, make sure the closing handles don't pinch you. AND MADE IN USA.

Works actually pretty well. Work with a lot of air line and these actually grab and hold the fitting so the hose comes out. Was impressed. Way better than using a 10 millimeter wrench to hold the fitting and pull on the hose
