Good bag
We had to rinse a bunch of times to reduce taste, added a touch of vinegar, and after a number of times it actually is pretty solid, we used it to carry water on a 3 day backpack trip. If I could have I would have gotten a carabiner on each grommet and probably put my own string through those and hooked it to my bag. When full the 6L size was a little snug but eventually fit into the top bag compartment of my backpack. I did have it leak once but I think that was because somehow the little valve got pulled up on something. I took note of this going forward and just made sure I knew how I was positioning the top of the bag. On the trip though no leaks and it was fine and worked well and can even handle boiling water in the winter and stuff. We carried water in this and in smart water bottles which are each a liter. We filled the smart bottles from this dromedary bag. They where just lighter being 1/6th the size to use and maneuver. Plus they acted like a decent measure of how much water was left in the bag as if we used 3 of those bottles we knew there was 3 liters left. Otherwise this was good and to clean we just washed with soap and stick a paper towel roll into it to keep it open and let it try, you can even clip the cap to the string around it to keep it all together while drying. Quite good.

Generally Indestructible
I have been burned by bladders in the past, but these things are actually good enough to be your primary water reservoir. They stand up to treatment that goes beyond "harsh" and strays into "abusive" without issue (e.g. being stuffed, full, into the bottom of a voyageur pack and then slung onto rocks and into canoes with heavy stuff bouncing on top of them). I assume that running over one or shooting it would puncture it, but I don't plan to test either theory so YMMV. Only critique is that the intermediate pour spout lanyard is too short and makes closing the pour spout a pain.

Backpacking must-have
This has been one of our better backpacking investments. It makes it so we really only have to purify water once per night for my husband and I. I especially appreciate that we don't have to purify water in the morning when it's freezing in order to top off our water for the day. It's sturdy, easy to use, and we haven't had any issues with leaking. Definitely a worthy investment.

Effective water storage
Rinsed it out twice. Filled it and hung it up on the back patio for over a week, (limited sun exposure.) No leaks and the water taste has not changed. Terrific! The 3 way fill cap is a nice feature: large for filling, with a handy "grab" handle, middle size for connecting to other devices, hose, filter, etc., and the small flip open dispenser, which allows fairly precise measuring into a cook pot or cup. Seems rugged, but mine is new, no abuse in the woods yet. Hanging in camp may require some inventiveness. I used a stick as a spreader across the "top" of the bag, held in place with some string at each end/corner, and then hanging the stick to a post, tree,et.

Tough bag ‘o’ Water
This water bag is tough. Should have got the 4L (I bought the 6L), but I’m happy with it. Got it for doing bigger hikes... not sure how people go 10 mi. + with only a 2.5L camel pack. Guess it’s a balance of rationing and conditioning - obviously water is by far the heaviest thing you will pack. That being said, you don’t have to fill this all the way, and can fold the extra material. Much more practical than a jug as this will hold more volume with smaller overall dimensions. Can easily fill with ice too.

Excellent MSR product- holds water well, lightweight, packable
This dromedary bag is awesome. I have used them on 4-week outings without trouble. They are rugged, easily packable, and lightweight. It came with an annoying string holding the cap to the bag... as much as I'd hate to lose the cap, the string was too short to use. But a quick clip fixed that. Other than a cap retention solution, it's awesome.

High quality
With high quality comes a high price which is kind of a bummer but at the same time this thing should last a lifetime, it is very well built

Water has a plastic taste
I’ve used Dromedary bags during hikes for over a decade now. My last one needed replacing so I got this one. I hoped that the major problem with these bags had been solved. If you store water in them for more than a few hours, you end up with water that tastes like plastic. They have not fixed this issue. I have washed the bag. I have done the vinegar trick. I have done various flush methods. Nothing so far has worked. If MSR would fix this issue, I’d love these bags.
