Diaper Genie Complete

We have 3 of these, one for each cat/kitten. We have them right beside their litter box. They work wonderful when it is time to clean out the litter box. Keeps the cat/kitten stuff away from the kids and other areas of the house. I'd have to say it would work just as well on diapers. Seals off so no smells. You can change out the bags very easily. You can make small bags or big bags. It fits nicely with the litterbox so we don't really lose any space. Value for money I'd say it is worth the price and works extremely well. Product is very versatile as we use it for pets instead of diapers. Plastic is thick and sturdy enough not to be flimsy.

It’s the best accessory for my baby room works fantastic. And the smell doesn’t come out.

been using the Diaper Genie for a while now, and overall it’s been a really helpful addition to our nursery. It does an excellent job of keeping diaper smells contained, which is a huge plus—especially in a small space. The hands-free foot pedal is super convenient when you’re juggling a baby, and the design is compact enough to fit nicely without taking up too much room. It’s also pretty easy to use once you figure out how to load and empty the bags.

This has been extremely helpful as a parent. We’ve been using one for 3 years now with 2 kids. They do hold a lot of diapers and contain the smell if your get the odor eliminating pail refills. I would recommend one for every new parent.

Ordered twice because the first one was cracked. The second had a broken piece. It operates as it should but I would get the metal/steel version.

I just bought a second Diaper Genie for my brother, who is expecting their first little on in February. My little girl is a year and a half now, so my Diaper Genie is that old. I have to say this thing is super convenient. I have not owned any other diaper pail so I have no experience to compare them, but I’ll give you my pros and cons to this thing and you can decide where to go from there. PROS: other than putting in the trash bags for it and the carbon filter on top, the Diaper Genie comes already put together. When my little one was younger and on formula, her #2s were messy but not overly stinky. Worst case scenario if the Diaper Genie got “dirty”, it was simple to wash off with a water hose or just use some disinfectant wipes. As she has gotten into eating solid foods, man does that #2 stink.... this Diaper Genie is a life saver and beats using a grocery store’s plastic bag or putting those dirty diapers in our trash can. It does a great job of isolating the smell. Lastly, the Diaper Genie doesn’t stand out and blends in pretty well with any set up you may have for your little one. Changing out the bags can be simple as it comes with a little mechanism that can be used to cut the bag. Just don’t let the bag get too full as that can complicate things. CONS: This does a great job at trapping smells, but when you open the door you release the beast! I strongly recommend buying extra carbon filters as they help with the smell some. I feel this will apply with any diaper pail. Expect vengeance from the smells when you open that door. Also, the garbage bags took me a minute to learn how to install but my wife had no issues. That was Probably just user error. The other con is that those bag refills aren’t expensive but they aren’t cheap either. If you have multiple kids you may run out a little quicker. I only have my one little girl now so it’s not a big issue for me. I’ve seen others make the comment that the door doesn’t close properly, which just means that the diaper pail is very full. Change that bad boy out and you shouldn’t have any issues. In the end I strongly recommend this product as it will save your nose. Just do yourself a favor and grab some extra carbon filters.

I bought this to prevent smells. It absolutely keeps the smells inside the container. My 92 year old mother uses incontinence pads. This keeps her bathroom from smelling.

The Diaper Genie is not a trash can. Oh no, friends. This is an ancient artifact forged in the bowels of Mount Doom to contain the most evil forces known to mankind: baby diapers. Every time I step on the pedal, it hisses open like it’s demanding a sacrifice. I toss in a loaded diaper, and with a dark whisper, it twists the foulness into a plastic cocoon, sealing it away like some unholy relic. I swear I heard Gregorian chanting the first time I used it. It’s honestly too powerful. Left unchecked, the Genie becomes a writhing snake of diapers, each one stacked in an endless sausage link of shame. Open it, and the smell is so catastrophic it could probably be used in biological warfare. Yet, I can’t stop. It’s addictive. The Genie calls to me in the night: “Feed me your filth. Only I can contain it.” I fear one day it will grow too strong and rise against us, diaper chain and all. 10/10—sealed my baby’s doomsday diapers like the cursed sorcery it is. Would buy again.

Valuable product. No more smelly diapers. Money well spent.

My two dogs are small and can’t go out when it’s below -10 so I use puppy training pads to get them through the winter. I was going through a small garbage bag almost every day because the smell of the used pads was horrible. The Diaper Genie was is a great solution! I just fold up the used pads as small as I can and plunk them in the Genie. After walks I can toss the poop bags in it too. I can go a week before having to change the bag, the kitchen garbage bin bags last longer and no more smell!! The hands free pedal is the icing on the cake. The thin form factor allows for the unit to be tucked away in a closet and doesn’t take up valuable real estate (tiny apartment). Honestly I think you could even use one for regular kitchen garbage, compost, smelly cleaning rags awaiting the laundry, whatever! I think Diaper Genie needs to market this thing to a wider audience.

It’s flimsy when we received it. This is our second time buying it. The first one we bought it 4 years ago. Not sure if it’s because of delivery or the quality of it. Truly disappointing
