Game changer for parents!
GO GO GADGET CHERRY PITTER ๐ฆพ๐Iโm a sucker for a good gadget. ESPECIALLY when it makes my life as a Mom a little easier. If you have kids, specifically toddlers, then you know how much dang fruit they consume! Itโs cherry season so I figured weโd spice things up a bit! The only problem: pits ๐ Found this little cherry & olive pitter on Amazon and tried it out today and LOVED it! I quickly made myself a nice little bowl of cherries and laid on the couch watching RHONJ; just like George Washington intended. PROS: itโs hella convenient, fairly priced, very effective, saves tons of time CONS: itโs a little aggressive so it causes splatters, you still have to take the stem off before you pit OVERALL: itโs a yes from me!!! So the kids get their cherries and I can pit and stuff some olives for a nice little martini ๐ธ Cheers, babes!

Doesnโt Work
Color: Black In theory this is fantastic - in reality, you have to use your full bodyweight to try to get it to work and then the cherries get stuck anyways. I tried several times. You have to eventually pound on it then the tray gets stuck. I finally got the cherry tray unstuck. Sending back.

Works good
Material is not the highest quality but good for the price. Does take a little bit of time setting the cherries up right so not a speedy process. Small cute compact easy to store. No mess pits end up in bottom try easy cleaning. Good value for your money.

So easy to use
This made pitting so easy. I was able to pit 3 lbs in under 10 min. 98% efficient. Some pits didn't push out through the bottom but that may be the cherries as well. Was using black cherries. Need to put some force behind it to pit. Will buy again if I need to

I have mixed opinions. Overall recommended.
I've never tried a cherry pitter before. But I would imagine the single pitters like the old school ones work better. So you throw six six cherries in, I don't think size really matters here. You slap it like a slap chop. I ended up slapping that a few times each time.... Because the pit doesn't shoot right out always. I get about a couple pits out of six that I actually come out. It took me awhile but it figured out that if you pinch the cherry when you pick it up out of it it will usually come out. It is indeed way faster than cutting it with a knife or manually pitting your cherry one by one. It's pretty durable. You could fit actually a lot of pits in that little container... I was skeptical but it's pretty deep. I would give it like a 6 or 7. Super easy to clean. Make sure you keep the top upright because water will get into it. I noticed that the firmer the Cherry the better results you're going to get. I tried putting in overripe cherries and it was a disaster and does not work ๐ What I buy again yeah probably because it's faster than a knife. But honestly I would look for an upgrade if I had a crazy amount of cherries to deal with.

Easy!
Pit 7 cherries at once and eliminate the frustration and stain on your hands. I did an entire bag of cherries in no time. I will say you do have to hit it hard to punch them out and sometimes twice so it does require a bit of strength. The top & cup are slotted to align with a tiny twist. Dishwasher safe so cleanup was a breeze.
