Beach Chair

Great camp chair, very easy to set up, very intuitive assembly. You have to pull sorta hard on the fabric to get it over the bottom legs of the frame, but it's not difficult. Sets up in maybe less than a minute once you do it once. I am 355 lbs and 6'5" and it holds me great. my head is supported by the headrest and the addition of the chair cover as a neck pillow is genius I use these for motorcycle camping and can tie these to my panniers and they take up hardly any room at all. They are also a lot more comfortable than their previous model, the Chair One. that one is a chair, but your neck gets tired very fast in it. This one you could sit in for as long as you need. the only possible downside, or something to be aware of, is it sits very low to the ground, only a few inches off the ground, standing up is not easy being that low and totally reclined, what I do is kneel forward and kinda roll/pivot out of the chair and stand up. I love this chair and my search for motorcycle camping chairs is over. I bought another one for my wife after she stole mine.

Unbelievably lightweight yet you can tell sturdily made. This chair "should" last a while. And it better at these prices. It was super easy to assemble (took ~30 seconds first time I tried it). The poles basically assemble themselves and then all that is required by us is to pull the mesh part over the pole ends. The last one is the one that requires some effort to stretch the fabric. But it only requires moderate effort. I'm happy with the weight and ease of assembly and disassembly. The chair width is narrow. I'm 145 lbs and my bum just fits into the seat. If you're larger, perhaps their wider Playa chair would be for you. In fact, it would probably be for me - but I prefer the mesh style for the beach so I'll keep this one. The head rest is not comfortable without a pillow, but they've attached velcro to the bag so we can throw our towel inside it and make a pillow. Once you do this, resting your head is super comfortable. I haven't yet figured out why they include velcro on the backside of the chair (or why the bag velcro is a different shape/direction than on the chair). Nevertheless it works well as is. One thing to note - the specs claim the bag is 23" once packed. It is true that the bag is 23" but once you put the chair inside it only takes up ~18" so you can scrunch the bag and fit inside a knapsack that is 18" long. Perhaps the extra 5" of space in the carry bag is meant for add'l item storage, but personally I'd prefer to see a smaller carry bag or a larger one (since the bag has no room for a beach towel even with the extra 5" of space).

Amazing beach chair! I drive a convertible so I have limited space to store any normal beach chair. This one breaks down and is so portable and functional and light! I just used it at the beach near me. I'll be buying a second one for my girlfriend ASAP!

Very light weight and easy to set up!! Love that I can pack them in our beach bag with everything else! Makes trips on the boat or to the beach so much easier and less bulky. The size is great. My husband is 6’2” 205lbs and is very comfortable. Very sturdy and comfortable! So glad we bought them!

I ordered two of these to bring on a plane. They are lightweight, and fit nicely in the luggage. I was very happy to have folding chairs along! They do need to be assembled and disassembled with use, so don’t be caught off guard about that. Understandably, you have to pull to assemble. Once you get the hang of it, you’re going to be glad you went with these. You will be sitting low to the ground, but the back is high. We sat all day in them. It was family day for his graduation from basic training, and he was comfortable and relaxed all day, until dark. So comfy. Just take note that these sit low to the ground.

I will admit I initially returned this chair. I used it once at the beach but couldn't stand that I'd paid $170 for a beach chair. Literally, 2 days after my return, I see the same chair in a different color for $118. I didn't think twice and hit Buy. A few observations from my one use so far. The small size and weight of this chair are game changers for me. I've gone to the beach nearly every weekend this summer. A never ending pain for me is lugging all the beach stuff from the car. I've been trying to condense everything down as much as possible. This chair fits inside my backback along with my towel and blanket, etc. One less thing to carry by hand is a win. I am planning at least one trip to a beach location that will require flying. This thing will easily fit in my luggage which is another big win. Setup is dead simple. The chair is super stable on the sand without sinking and sits low so I can just stretch my legs out. For reference I'm 5'9", 160. I found the chair only slightly more difficult to get out of than higher chairs, but infinitely easier than other low chairs to get out of. I'm 55 and in reasonably good shape so it's not an issue for me. I can see how it might be a bit of a chore getting up out of it for older, heavier people or those with back or knee issues. When I originally purchased the chair, I don't think I noticed the side pockets. I think I also read some reviews that mentioned that there were no side pockets even if the description says there are. I'm happy to report that the repurchase did in fact have 2 small side pockets that are perfect for a phone, wallet, sunscreen, etc. With the savings from the first purchase I did buy the cup holder. Not sure why I did that as my beach table has 2 cup holders. I guess when you save $50, spending another $14 for an accessory isn't a big deal. This chair us really comfortable to sit in. A high back was a must for my new chair. I have a travel pillow that fits perfectly in the holder on the back of this. I fell asleep on the beach. It was so comfortable I have no idea how long I slept. I go to the beach to relax and this chair fit the bill in superb fashion. By far the most comfortable chair I've used at the beach. With the standard folding chairs, I'd say we've probably purchased new ones every other year for the past 20 years at $20-$30 each. If this chair lasts half that long it will have been worth it. It seems quite durable and I have no reason to believe that it won't last at least that long. Finally, I would say not to purchase this chair at full price. $170 is a lot for a beach chair unless you live at the beach. Otherwise, wait for a sale.

Cette chaise de plage est super ! Bien confortable, super compact , légère. Elle se range facilement en quelques mouvements. Le sytème est très ingénieux. Les pieds empêchent de s enfoncer dans le sable . C est le top . Si vous êtes mal à l aisé à la plage allongé puis mal assis . Cette chaise vous apporte une bonne position. J ai essayé des imitations 2 a 3 fois moins cher mais toutes renvoyées car trop étroitement ou inconfortable ou impossible de tendre la toile . Le prix oui est élevé mais sur 10 ans c est acceptable. Helinox c est le top !

Had one of these as a Christmas gift used it on Mexico beach and found it very comfortable so bought another one for my wife. Well worth the money.

This is a great chair for camping or at the beach. I have owned the Chair One for a few years now and love it but wanted something that was closer to the ground and better in sand. This chair also has a higher back allowing for greater support if required. Compared to the Chair One, this model is larger when packed and heavier but I feel that is an acceptable compromise when car camping. I love both models and my son has now claimed my Chair One when camping. If it is helpful, I also found that the Helinox drinks holder is also compatible with the Beach Chair.
