While you can find cards at a lower price, when it comes to dash cam footage, I would rather pay more for the reliability of data retention than save some money on lesser-known brands. You do not want to lose data when you need it most. I can now wholeheartedly recommend this MicroSD card. Therefore, I am changing my initial rating from a 4 to a 5. Original Review: I conducted extensive research to determine which memory card to purchase for my new dashcam. I bought a standard one for my old camera. I had no issues, but upgraded to a much higher resolution, and the MicroSD card that came with the unit does not hold enough files (as it is only 32GB, it begins to overwrite files recorded the same day - I need more security than that). As the dash cam's maximum support is 128GB, I decided to go with this card. Unfortunately, I have read many reviews with the same issue: the card fails rather quickly (while still under warranty), and support is nonexistent once this happens. Upon reading recent reviews, the time ranges from 3 days to 3 months and appears to be the standard or average time when failures occur. As a result, I have yet to open the card and place it in my dashcam, fearing it will stop working. I am considering returning it unopened and ordering a different brand (SanDisk, which I always purchase). The failure rate for this MicroSD card is higher than the one I was considering buying (although the rating percentage is not reflected in the numbers). For now, I am rating it a four, as changing the reviews to "Most Recent" order reveals far too many assessments that share the same problem: the card dies very quickly.
