Wonderful nostalgic look and great pickup and sound for the price
I teach eschatology during a live video podcast on Facebook Live. Many of my friends and followers are unable to hear me due to numerous severe physical traumas I sustained from being beaten almost to death. I now suffer from hyperkyphoscoliosis, which has affected my breathing causing the inability to talk at the normal volume of others. This wonderful and beautiful microphone is exactly what I needed. It perfectly corresponds with the antique and vintage decor in my home where the live podcasts are done. The sound of the microphone is very professional and picks up my voice very well. I am very satisfied with my purchase of this item. I will reiterate that I love the nostalgic and vintage look of this microphone and again, it sounds as good as other studio microphones that are much more expensive. Thank you very much and shalom.

Vintage style, super affordable
After looking at similar, vintage-style mics, I found Monoprice makes this one. As a guitarist, I know Monoprice has produced some great, cheap gear, and this is the same. The mic is solid and sounds really good, especially for live use. I think this is just about as good as a similar Shure mic, but at 1/3 of the cost. Huge value here. Response is good. The pop screen cuts plosives nicely. The cardioid pattern is pretty tight, with drop off happening just over an inch out of the center. I really like this, as it picks up very little of my guitar in the room. Note, the mount for the mic is very close to the cable jack, so it doesn't work well with all mic stands, and you may need to remove the tightening "daisy" on your stand to make it fit. I wish the pop screen wasn't bright blue, but something more neutral. Still, overall, an unbeatable value for this level of vintage style.

Unboxing – new item, but scratch it on box
I gave it four stars because while the microphone itself appears good, the case itself is very scuffed up and the threading knob/bolt whatever you call it was loose in the box.

Fantastic Mic for the Price!
Did an A/B test against my Shure SM7B with identical settings on my audio interface. There may have been a tiny difference, but most people noticed nothing different. Don’t get caught up in the hype of overpriced equipment. This mic is a great buy!

Good mic for Pics not for use
The mic looks really cool. But you get what you pay for. The sound is not great and the metal screen which looks cool, kind of rattles loosely. I have a nightly karaoke company and it will get trashed in no time.

Vintage Look
Really solid build, looks great and stands up well against other Shure mics. The sound is good and it fits well on a single pole mic stand.Comes in a plastic case too! I would recommend this mic, it is very good value for the price.

Fragile, and Not Great for Live Music Vocals
I bought 4 of these, because at this price, who could say no? The first thing I noticed is that they are beautiful. Second, they are heavy. Extremely heavy. If you have a boom mic stand, you might want to think twice about this mic because it will challenge your boom's ability to hold it. Our first gig with these mics was challenging. The vocals sounded hollow and like they were on the verge of feeding back. We used our typical settings that we've been using for years. But that didn't work for these mics. Hmmm... Our second gig, we tried again, and decided to fiddle with the EQ. One of the mics stopped working. I've returned it. The remaining mics still sounded a bit hollow, but we lived with it. I have another gig this weekend and I'll see if we can improve the situation. If not, I'll have to return them all. It is a shame, because these things look super cool and appear to be very solid. But in actual use, they have been quite disappointing.

Impressive quality
I read good reviews on forums for this microphone and it delivers. Very well made, sounds as good as my plain but trusty SM58. Don't need exhaustive Eq, just plug and sing : ) I don't A/B it with a SH55 but I'm totally satisfied. And it looks awesome (but you already know this)!
