Purchased to power a solar generator as my country was without light and it charged it super fast

While I cannot speak to the longevity of this product (40w version), I can speak to the size, weight, and charging ability. I just spent a week in the Boundary Waters with scouts and I must travel with a CPAP. We canoed about 9 miles in a day to reach our campsite with about 9 portages. I had this panel strapped neatly under the canoe seat with some dealy-bobs. I run my CPAP off a 40k/mAh battery (generic) that has a 15v/2amp charge port. Most panels available only have USB (5v) outputs, whereas this panel has USB 5V as well as DC 15V output. I compared a 'well-known' portable panel with it's proprietary connections, that weighed more, and cost roughly $200 more than this. After purchasing this and testing it for a couple weeks before my trip, I put it to the test. On a bright sunny day, my battery goes from 0 to 100% in about 5 hours which actually seems faster than using the AC adapter - I have yet to do a timed test. Weight for a 40w panel was great, especially with the additional weight of the battery and CPAP - I needed something that could charge as much as I needed but still be portable. Size, while I could have fit the panel in my 85L backpack, I had too much other gear for a week-long trip and decided strapping it under the seat as the best mode of transportation. Bottom-line, after charging my battery and the rest of the leaders' and scouts' electronic devices on the trip for a week, this is well worth the money! I also appreciated the DC plug adapters which I needed for charging the battery and CPAP (to the battery). I would highly recommend upgrading the provided DC cable as 22 gauge just wasn't robust enough to handle the power effectively. I went with an 18 gauge charge cable.

Thank you for my order, Apowking portable solar 40W panels. When I first received them the smell of chemical in the material was very strong. I had to air them out. it took awhile for smell to disappear. But I love them they work! while I worked on a storage my phone needed to be recharged so I used my Solar Panels. the panels charged my phone while I used the phone, Great Job! ....My Apowking portable power station needed to be recharged half way, so I used my Solar Panels, and it quickly recharged it. I have not tried my laptops yet but I know the Apowking portable Solar Panels work great! ..they are great for students you can do your homework anywhere even at the park!

Your suspicion was correct: they don't put out full power...surprise surprise. In my naivety, I thought maybe this would be the one thing from china to perform as advertised....nope. It's pretty heavy, too.

I got this to charge my power bank while in the field. It did a great job and works well in full sunlight. The full sunlight is necessary as it does not charge well if the panel is even partially shaded. It was easy to pack in my checked bag and easy to pack in my backpack. It comes with a variety of connectors so it should work with a variety of power banks.

Love the compact size when folded and handleakomg it easy to carry. Unfolding is simple and makes set up easy. The red indicator light is useful to know that it is generating power. Have used it to quickly charge small devices. Waiting to see how well it works charging a larger storage battery
