Infestazione da alghe dovuta ad eccesso di pesci (riproduzione naturale) e potatura eccessiva. Dopo 1 anno di tentativi, tra piante crescita rapida, pulizia e cambi acqua, prodotti antialghe, ecc, ho fatto un lavaggio/pulizia radicale (molto invasivo), ho fatto trattamento con acqua ossigenata e ho quasi azzerato le alghe, ma alcune piante (rosse e superficiali) non sono sopravissute. Le alghe stavano tornando, ho provato con antialghe e co2 liquida ma non funzionava, solo rallentamento iniziale crescita alghe. Ho sostiyuito cannolicchi con versione migliore, provato anche con torba nel filtro, ma la situazione sembrava progredire verso nuova crescita delle alghe a dispetto delle piante. Alla fine ho aggiunto queste 2 "piastrelle", il mio acquario è un 140 litri, e le alghe si sono fermate! LA crescita delle piante è rallentata, molto, ma crescono comunque; le alghe invece sono ferme! Ottimo prodotto, forse per 140l ne basta uno ma ero in una situazione drammatica.

This filter media has been perfect to get the fine particles out of the water in my koi pond. I've been using it since July and clean it weekly. Now, I don't need to use more filter cotton for the aquarium, this is my first choice. High-quality products that work as you expect. It will last me quite a while before I need more. I cut the filter media to the size I needed to wrap around me pond filter. The pond was in rough condition & it helped remove the floating muck in the water, I spray the filter off every morning, it’s been almost a week & it’s till in good condition. I used elastics to secure it the first few days until I could some large zip ties, both work fine the zip ties hold it in place better. As you can see in the photos, it definitely helped clear the water up in just 12 hou, I can finally see my koi!

Great product put them in my current aquarium sump to help cycle my new larger aquarium in the next couple of months

Let me first start by saying this product is perfect for the sump! If you have a small sump this is perfect for you/if you have a big sump even better. You can stack them like Legos and water will still pass through like nothing. Its also solid like a brick and heavy duty. I would definitely buy more.
