If you buy only 1x nuclear science/engineering textbook, get this one
Great book to help me prepare for my college courses. I really loved the engineering perspective which cut through a lot of interesting but ultimately impractical in a non- research context theory, although the physics was adequately detailed section by section. The best part were the questions interspersed throughout the chapters, as well as the quizzes at the end plus tons of reference tables. I hope to keep it long after I graduate and well into my career!

A very well-written textbook, and one of the few where I won't complain about the price. Make sure you're okay with the DHS casually stalking you if you own one.
