i saw some one on youtube use this to clean their game cart and also put some in a pot for a 2600 paddle.so i got some and boy does it work well! especially for cleaning the contacts on a virual boy for the displays after solder fixing them. i also tried it out in the volume knob and and its as smooth as silk after applying when turning it and the sound is no longer crackly. it works way better than wd-40! all though the price is high i will be using this sparingly. one thing i really like it the fact that it absorbs in to tiny cracks making it easier to oil a pot.If you work on old electrics this is a must!

DeOxIt has been my go-to for contact cleaner for over a decade now -- I don't bother with cheaper alternatives. However, I always found the spray cans will make a mess and are somewhat wasteful if you only need a tiny tiny amount. Thus, this product with the "precision" applicator makes such a huge difference in terms of retaining product and easier cleanup. I haven't actually A/B-ed performance compared to the spray cans of D5 and F5 I typically use, but so far I am loving it.

I've been an elelectro-mechanical tech for > 35 year and retired several years ago. This is the best electrical contact cleaner I've ever used.I used it to clean the pots, tube pins and sockets on my old Fender Twin. It made my old amp sound new. New tubes didn't hurt, but...A little pricey but I'd have to say it was worth it.

Works well. More precise and less messy that the spray version.Today I brought back to fully functionality the screen on a Plantronics CT14 wireless headset phone using this DeoxIT product on the phone's circuitry board and connectors. That covered the cost of the DeoxIT by not having to buy a new phone! PS - if you're cleaning potentiometers and faders, probably best to use their other product (DeoxIT FaderLube) made for that specific type of electronics part - there's lots more info (and debate) about what to use on potentiometers on YouTube if you're needing more info.

The price continues to go up but the product works very well. I use it on old 8 bit game consoles like atari 2600 and commodore 64's.

Really works good on cleaning nes games

Mine didn't come with a cap or plug for the needle valve and so it leaks everywhere and I've wasted much of it, otherwise it's a great product and doesn't an excellent job cleaning oxidized electric contacts and keeping them firing well.

Great stuff. It took all the static out of the volume pots on my radio!
