Pleasantly Surprised
I have used washes and inks and other semi-transparent paints for miniatures and had mixed results with those. I am not an expert painter, but paint a LOT of figures. I was was pleasantly surprised at how easy these were to use in a single pass to get nice results without a lot of fussing. IMO the semi-transparent paint seems to stay relatively where you put it and tends not to overly-'pool' up in crevasses of a model as some of the other brands do. For board gaming, it saves a lot of time and tedium in getting nice looking minis to the table vs having them sit half painted on a shelf.

Takes a bit to get used to
These paints are absolutely great. Thing is that you really need to spend some time to understand how much paint is needed to get the right results. It is a balance from a regular type of paint to flooding the area like a wash. You need to be careful since if it goes on too thin, the effect of the highlights won't come through. If too much, it floods the area since it is so thin. Once you get the hang of it, they are really great. Awesome that it comes with a really nice brush also.

A must have for any painter
The amount of creativity you can make with these is just awesome. I waited too much for get this product. I use this speed paints in combination with other paints and the results are just awesome. I will continue adding more variants as the budget permits.

Love this stuff
I tested it over an old mini I did way back and it brought out more details than before ( mind you this mold is probably 10plus years old ). Makes my shaky hand painting passable for somewhat of skill.

Perfect for beginners and intermediate painters
These speed paints are equal to the other “contrast” paints. Some are better than others and some are the same. I use these sparingly, but they help with getting the middle steps of my painting process. I would definitely recommend these to anyone that wants to up their game in a meaningful way when it comes to miniature painting.

They do what they say they do
They're a little hard to control and thus take a little getting used to, but they do exactly what they say they do. They produce great colors and dynamic shadows. Would recommend.

Great value, easy to use.
I'm not a great painter, but with this and a basic slap chop method, my painting has really improved. Attached is a miniature I painted as a color reference.

Good Paint, but maybe not the best for newcomers or as your only set of paint
Its a decent set of paint. However, as a newcomer to painting minis, I struggled with a couple of things. One of them being that most of these colors are so incredibly dark. I tried making my primer lighter but I struggled to get the right shade of colors that I wanted. My next issue is this paint is very watery. Was difficult to spread the paint evenly and nicely.Again maybe Im just a newbie, but I bought a regular vellejo set and already feel a sense of relief with the painting process.
