I’ve been getting these bags for some time. I live in an apartment and in a tropu weather (DC). I hang around me in my closet, one in my pantry and the third one in another closet. They don’t fill up in winter but in summer … the amount of water wasn’t created by Houdini! I don’t want big humidifiers sitting in my apartment. I’ve been buying this for some time but they’re a bit expensive though . I got the vanilla one cuz it was the cheapest and anyway, it doesn’t smell much like vanilla. Anyhow, when you see the bag full you of water you’ll see. I recommend this product but wish it were less expensive.

Decided to take the plunge and try these, so glad I did! Our bathroom does not have a window so with the hot showers it gets really musty in there. I hung one of these up on the inside of the bathroom door and within hours the smell was gone. It's been up for about a week now and is only 1/8th full of water so I think they will be a good value. There is no "set up", you take one out and hang it up. Job done. Then just keep an eye on the water accumulation in the clear pouch to know where to throw it out. Wish I would have tried these sooner!

Definitely buy these if you live in Florida. I had an a/c malfunction which caused water damage in my guest room. While drying out my carpet, I bought and hung these because the room was smelling musty. Within one day, these eliminated the smell and moisture completely. I used the same one for a few days but simply needed to “crunch” the salt in the top bag to loosen it. Since the catch bag was not full, it was okay for me.

I have not tried any other products used for the same purpose as I use this one since it does what it’s supposed to do. I can just hang it in my closet and replace when done. I know my clothes will not have a an issue with moisture when using this product

I used another brand before finding DampRid. The DampRid is cheaper than the product I used before, and I think it is a little more effective, based on the fact that it pulls water from the air at a faster rate than the other brand I used. This has made quite a difference in keeping the humidity down in our shower area/bathroom. The decrease in dampness is quite noticeable.

Bought this 3x - every month. I put one inside my son’s closet because the heat from his wall is making his closet smells bad. I put the other two inside our restroom and I’m telling you!! This is so effective. It doesn’t just absorb the wetness but the fouling smell too. I tried the one on the container but it’s not effective.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:For ease of use. You can just hang it up and forget it.Efficiency:Very efficient. You can quickly check on it to see when you have to change and put a new one up. It does collect a good amount of water. Therefore you will never get a musty, moldy smell in those household areas that don't get a good air exchange. I use them in closets. Also, hang one up in a car that I don't use that often.

These are my favorite to use for my basement. Love the hanging feature. The scent is pleasant too! During the summer they fill up faster, but that’s expected. I hang one in my laundry room, furnace room and another closet basement too. My mom has been using damprid since I was a kid so their quality has held up.
