Works perfectly
This starter works perfectly and came in a damaged box (as noted on the product listing). Product was perfectly fine and saved me at least $25 to order this as opposed to the "New" listing.

Gear broke
Good starter but the metal gear broke, I don't know!!!

Broken Gear
I put the starter on and it worked without issue until about the 10th start. the gear broke into 3 pieces. I took the old gear off my old starter and put it on the new starter, as the problem I had with the old starter was not the gear. The gear on the starter is steel with a plastic insert. The OEM gear is all metal with no plastic. I would swap your gears before I even put the new starter on. Other than that it works fine.

Starter stopped working
Received the starter on June 15,2022, and it won't engage at all now started September 11,2022. How do I get it covered under the 1 year warranty?

Good starter, great price. DB electric easy to do business with. They stand behind their products.
Good price for the starter. I have used db electrical, for a number of starters and alternators. Have had no problem when warranty was needed. Had an alternator fail, called them up shipped them the old one, once they had it they shipped me a new one. Highly recommend DB electrical. They are very often less than 1/4 the cost of the oem parts especially when dealing with the green diesels.

Update….
Works good, gear mesh noisy, but it works. Update: After 2 months of use, the bendix is junk. Never fit flywheel correctly. Not it’s useless!!

I put this starter in my rider mower and the starting gear broke in half on the first attempt to start. I was able to get the gear for the old starter on this to use but would not recommend to buy.
