Great resource on healing written by great servant of God used in great miracles

Awesome book! I’m only 1/2 way through, but this book has been very educational on God’s will toward healing. Has helped shape my belief from “If it’s God’s will to heal” to “It is never God’s will for us to be sick or hurt”. I’ve been feeling the Lord pull me into the healing ministry & this book has shed so much light on what Scripture actually says about healing. The same God who saves from sin is the same God who heals the sick still to this day! What a big & awesome God we serve! He already sent me on my first assignment to lay hands on a barren womb & I’m excited to see that seed bloom!🫶🏻 All glory to Jesus! Highly recommend this book! It’s all backed by Scripture!

The modern day church is divided in its stance on divine healing. Some churches say that healings stopped after the apostles died. Some say healings were only for the early church to prove the divinity of Christ. Others disagree. Charismatic and Assembly of God churches (among others) believe that the Holy Spirit power can and does effect healings yet today, and it is only our ignorance of this fact that prevents even more people from seeking divine healing. For the person who wants to explore the biblical basis for divine healing, I cannot think of a better place to start than with this classic volume. T.L. Osborn (and wife Daisy) are lifelong missionaries of the gospel of Christ. In their extensive time in India, they witnessed thousands upon thousands of healing miracles. In this text, first published in 1951, and in it's 30+ edition, Osborn gives the Biblical foundation for healing. His writing is concise and to the point, with short easy to read and understand chapters. The entire foundation of Biblical divine healing rests on the following principles: 1. God's word is inspired truth, and its words are just as true and trustworthy today and when they were written thousands of years ago. 2. God promised healing to his people, as well as salvation. Jesus' ministry was dual in that he healed and preached salvation. 3. Jesus healed all who came to him for healing, and he is the same yesterday, today, and forever. 4. Faith is believing in the mercy, grace, compassion, and power of the Lord, and taking him at his word; using the scriptural verses to declare healing over physical disease and infirmity. 5. Jesus sacrifice on the cross was where he bore our infirmities and diseases, and through his stripes we are healed. 6. The believer exercises his/her faith by asking the Lord for healing, and then believing in the assured promises of the Lord to effect the healing. There is much more to this book. Osborn writes about the laying on of hands, annointing with oil, the prayer of the faithful, etc., and cites scriptural verses as his authority. The causes of disease are discussed. The role of demonic disease influence is discussed at length. The end of the book gives his personal testimony of eyewitness healings during his mission trips across the world. For the believer who is seeking a ministry in healing, or someone who seeks personal healing, this is a foundational book. kone

I came across this book sometimes ago. I'd recommend this book to every Christian out there. It should be in the hands of every single Christian. It's a book about healing, physical healing. And it's even more than just physical healing, it's about overall spiritual healing. It heals a wavering faith, it strengthens it, and it transforms it. It's a powerful book. It explains that faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Once the seed is planted then faith grows. Faith is believeing that God speaks the truth. I would like to mention a part of Chapter 15 Faith Is a Possessor Every place where your foot shall step I have given it to you for an inheritances was the inspiring promise which greeted the Israelites as they faced the Promised Land. Footprints mean possession, but it must be their own footprints. In possessing your New Testament blessings provided in redemption, every promise that you put your feet upon is yours. The rich plain of healing is yours to the extent that you tread upon it. The fertile valley of deliverance is yours, if you will go in and possess it. The highlands of spiritual power are yours, if you will imitate grand old Caleb and, by faith, drive out the Anakims of unbelief that dwell there. Any or all of these blessings are yours to possess in the name of Jesus. All of the promises in the Bible are yours, so do not be slack to go up and possess your land. Between you and your possessions are powerful enemies, but gather your forces of prayer and faith in that all-sufficient name of Jesus and go against them. Do not stop until the last enemy is conquered. The size of your inheritance depends on how much land you have stood on, walked on, and really claimed. If you have not claimed it all, then as much more of it is yours as you dare possess. Put on the whole armor of God, which will make you invulnerable and take the sword of the Spirit, which will make you invincible. Fight the good fight of faith. Endure hardness, as a good soldier. Resist the devil, and you will find the promise true: he will flee from you. To most people, faith is merely a word or a theory. You can make it a fact and a power. Satan knows that in the matter of healing, God's interests and yours are identical. He knows that God and you are allies. He knows that God cannot let you fail, while you are trusting His word, for He could not do that without seeing Himself fail; and this He cannot do. When the prayer of faith has been prayed, stand fast in the faith and be strong. Do not give up. Trust for a well body. Believe that you will recover. Lay claim to your covenant rights. Then God will get the glory, and you will get the victory. Faith is the victory.

This book is a must have for any christian library. Whether you believe in divine healing or not when you begin to read it, you will when you are finished. It not only gives you scripture showing God's love and desire that all of His children walk in perfect health all of the time but it completely breaks down and disproves all of the old christian doctrines which use scriptures incorrectly or out of context to say it is ever God's will for anyone to be sick or that God lays sickness on us to humble us or to teach us a lesson and it does so not with opinion, but with scripture. There is no way you could possibly read this book and ever again doubt God's will that it is His desire for you specifically to be healed and it will teach you just where sickness and disease do come from so you will never again give God the credit for doing something so horrible to His children. Another plus I've found with this book is that most of the things it teaches are applicable to build faith in other areas of your life as well...not just healing. If you need provision, strength, courage, joy, peace, wisdom...whatever you may need, you can apply the same principals that are found in this book for healing to any other area of your life. It is a faith builder, an encourager, and gives you hope for not only tomorrow but for many years to come. I already knew many of these principals and scriptures when I purchased and started reading this book but my understanding and level of faith have increased dramatically with its help. Before I started, I had faith in divine healing for everyone in every situation but I didn't know how to answer people who used certain scriptures as their basis for believing it was ever God's will that any of us should be sick (such as Paul's Thorn). Now, with this complete breakdown of those exact scriptures given in such an easy to understand way, I no longer have to wonder even a little and I know how to explain what I believe and how to show, using those scriptures, how I know, that I know, that I know that it is ALWAYS God's will for His children to walk in complete and perfect health ALL of the time. This book is, quite frankly, healing for dummies or the healing handbook for the scriptural and spiritual layman.

One of the best books I have read on proclaiming the gospel, evangelism and healing the sick. It is truly inspirational and faith building.

Enjoying this book immensely. Sound teaching from Gods Word. Once I started reading it I could not put it down.

I think for me ' Healing the Sick' covers the whole gospel. I found it interesting that salvation and healing practically the same thing and people need both. I love that he included 100 Healing Facts, just as he presented 52 Salvation Facts in his book 'Soulwinning'. This book carries gospel truths and its worth reading
