Cevitor Smart Home WIFI Power Socket Plug Outlet, Alexa and Smart Phone Wireless Controls, Not Hub Required (2-Pack)

I purchased three of these outlets and gave one to my sister keeping the other two for myself. First I want to say the tech support is almost non existent with this company. They do not have phone support, only email and Skype. My window to return them to Amazon closed on June 24th, today is the 29th. Neither of the outlets will respond to Alexa any longer. They still work with the app on my phone but I wanted Alexa enabled outlets. I have two others from TP-Link which work flawlessly, and have been for months. These were a little cheaper so I thought I would give them a try. Bad call on my part, and now I have no support and can't return them. I disabled the Skill in Alexa and re-enabled it and one worked one time to turn it on then neither would work again. Very disappointing. If you want one that works please consider TP-Link. I was looking to purchase the least expensive smart socket that was compatible with my Echo Dot. After looking at all the sockets on Amazon, I chose this one because it was the least expensive one at the time I was looking. Others sell for over twice the price. The socket arrived on time, but it was mailed out in a bubble wrap envelope. When I opened it, the box the socket came in was slightly crushed crushed. Fortunately the socket did not appear damaged. I think something like this is better shipped in a box to avoid damage to the item. The plug is big compared to others that Amazon sells and you can only fit one in a standard two-plug, but it is not so large that it will take up the whole plug. I plugged mine in the top one and was still able to plug a regular cord in the bottom one. One thing that this socket has that others costing much more do not is a usb charger. I honestly did not even notice it came with one when I ordered it because I will not be using one in the location where this is used. I was however pleasantly surprised by it.Now for the important part. Does it work as promised? You bet! It was so simple that it took me less than three minutes to have it working. First you download the Tuyasmart app. I already had it on my phone because of other sockets I had previously ordered so I did not have to sign in. Then you ask the app to find new device and it took a few seconds to find it. You sign in to your wifi account and presto, you are all set. I remained the socket for the lamp that it controls. I then opened my Alexa app, asked it to find the new device and I was done. Now I can control that lamp with my voice or with the Tuya app if I am away.Because of the price and the ease in setting it up as well as how it works, I give it 5 stars.Pros:Easy to set upUSB portworks as advertisedCons:Size if that is an issue in the location you will use it, other than that...no cons.

After installing the first one and the frustration and time involved with a first time effort, the rest have been a snap and work very well, and very fun to use, with phone and being able to control from afar is great for home security, love them, 5 stars

Great product works with alexa, I hooked it up to My air conditioner so before I get home from work I can turn on the AC 20-30 minutes before I arrive and it's as cool as the other side of the pillow ! great buy was excited to get it glad I did and glad it works , And you won't have wifi issues like the TuyaSmart bulb , thing always drops off wifi for some reason but both are same company so i have to say good job tulasmart

This unit was great for my first foray into the Alexa controlled units. Trouble is, it occasionally is non-responsive to Alexa. Then the next day, it's back, all on it's own. Odd.However, for the price, it's a great starter unit. Next time, I'll buy something a little more expensive.

Struggled at first until I read another review pointing out that the 2.4MHz frequencies have to be used - then it went like a charm.Works great. Wife happy - everyone happy !!

I don’t know if the issues I have are an Alexa issue or this product. We wanted this to give more voice control to our fire stick and Alexa and all it pretty much does is turn the tv on and off and open your apps. No volume control, no Chanel changes or selections or play backs. Pretty disappointed.

Had it outside for the fountain in the summer and brought it inside for the plant lights now that the deck plants are inside. Works great, setup was a snap and looks pretty sharp too!
