Strong azalaic acid cream
This is a great cream for rosacea with pustules. It stings at first, but less so as your skin heals. Good for nighttime application, does not play well under makeup.

wow!
Guys nothing has cleared my acne better than this stuff right here. I’ve had moderate-severe acne since the age of 15, i’m now 23. The only other things that have ever worked on my skin were doxycycline (stopped taking it because that stuff is bad for you long term) and birth control (stopped using that too because again, unhealthy for you long term).I really wasn’t expecting it to work so well. I was in a place where I would have 4-5 active pimples on my face, with new ones showing up every day, and scars/marks everywhere. Now I will only occasionally get one pimple here or there.Okay fair warning there was a purge at the beginning for like a week. So your skin may look worse for a bit before it looks better.I’ve had this stuff for a long time, but would not use it continuously. So it wouldnt work. But then I started using it every single night (occasionally skipping a night here and there if my skin was too dry). And wow.I cant say it works for everyone but it worked great for me. I almost gave up on retinoids after a terrible year long experience with tretinoin, but nevermind.Yeah!!

Chunky and smells like a straight-up pool inflatable
First impressions were rough. The consistency is very rough and unpleasant to apply. The smell almost distracts from that, though. I've never used a product that smells so strongly of plastic. As for effectiveness, it seems to work as well as The Ordinary that I've used previously (which is half of the supposed % of this product). I will probably go back to The Ordinary due to the texture and smell.

Mix with face cream, this is a paste
I read someone else in a review, describe that their tube wasn’t an emollient, but more like a paste, and another replied that if they put it on after moisturizing, it spreads just fine. That was a lie. It really is a paste, and I needed to moisturize with my cerave moisturizing cream, then mix a little more cream with the paste to get it to spread evenly on my face. You still can’t put it on in the morning and try to put sunscreen or make-up over the top of it, though. It WILL clump up underneath (or the paste clumps will become visible). Over all, I’m giving 4 stars because it did work better on my rosacea than anything else so far and it has only a few ingredients. Just have to do what I did to make it work, and only use it at night.

It works but requires patience at first
This formula is not a smooth cream - it does leave little globs on the skin. I have used two tubes so far and they are both like this. After applying the melazepam cream, I just flick the globs away with a tissue. When I first starting using this, it stung a little for a minute, but after a few days the stinging doesn't happen. If you start/stop using it, you can expect the stinging to happen every time you start again. I have rosacea and get small red pimples all over my nose and onto the front of my cheeks. It took about a week for me to see results using melazepam, but after a week I really started to see clearing of my skin. It's important to use a gentle cleasner on your skin and don't use melazepam on broken skin. I found that I also need use a light facial moisturizer on top of this.

Finally, something that works!
I’m a 49 year old female - I’ve struggled with my skin since I was 13. I’ve had what I THOUGHT was acne on my face, neck, back, chest, shoulders, and stomach. In the last year, I’ve come to find out (through online research) that my problem is mostly yeast that overgrows on my super-oily, Mediterranean, olive skin. I’ve had quite a bit of successs clearing my body fungal acne with Nizoral shampoo, as well as Head and Shoulders shampoo (I alternate between the 2). However, I continued to struggle with blackheads in my t-zone and on my cheeks, and also pimples around my jawline. I recently read about azelic acid in a pityrosporum folliculitis forum, and I decided to try Melazepam. I started by gently using a dermaplaning razor, then washing my face, and applying the Melazepam. It’s only been about a week and a half, but my skin is smoother, less oily, and my blackheads almost literally fall out of my pores! And no new pimples. I can’t guarantee it will work for everyone, but I wish I had known about this years ago! It’s better than ANYTHING a doctor has ever prescribed me.

Poor info on tube
The cream contains Azelaic Acid, but the label doesn't list the concentration. When contacted, the manufacturer will not say what the concentration is. Seems to work, a bit, but not as well as Finacea.

Life changing overnight!
I had clear skin up until Summer 2020, when seemingly out of nowhere I started getting horrific nodular acne & ridiculously thickened skin on my cheeks & around my mouth. Imagine having a terrible break out underneath a horrible callous...all over your face. I have easily spent over $1000 on OTC products, on top of a dozen prescriptions— maybe 2 of them ~kind of~ helped. I applied this product last night and woke up in disbelief. In just 8 hours this product improved my skin 100x more than 6 months of Tretinoin/Tazorac did. I cannot even explain the relief I feel! I’m about to go to bed after applying it for the 2nd time and I genuinely can’t wait to look in the mirror tomorrow morning, which is something I’ve dreaded every day for over a year. Thank you to everyone on the Rosacea subreddit who recommended Melazepam as a cheap but potent azelaic acid cream!
