I have been sprouting organic sprouts in jars (and other ways) for over 30 years, even as a certified organic business for many years back in the day. I purchased lids, made lids, used screens and/or fabric as lids and tried/used all sorts of ways. These are the best rings and screens for mason jars I have ever seen. I doubt I will use any others ever again. I may still use bags for spouting other things or when hiking, but these are what I use daily. The connection between the screen and its edging material is high quality: solid and clean. The rings are high quality too. Neither have rusted*, and I have put them through their paces daily for over a year now. *I did have some slight discoloration on a couple screens because my draining rack was rusting and it got on the screens as I had the dome out and they sat on it until I saw.. They cleaned up okay, but honestly you can't really get between the mesh to clean well enough for those sorts of stains. Best to avoid placing them against something that might stain them. The ones I got at the same time that didn't sit there are still doing well (no rust or stains). I now use dome facing into the jar just in case I place them in the wrong spot again. I can't really say much about the solid lid inserts as they are silicone and I am not a huge fan of silicone. Also, I prefer to use this brand's solid ss lids when storing the sprouts in the fridge once done. Those lids are perfect for that as I close them loosly without the silicone rim inserts and it gives the sprouts enough air to keep fresh, and closed enough to protect them from drying out. So I recommend getting those solid ss lids as well. Sellee (in case you are reading this): I would love a combo offering of the ss rings and domed screens from here with the solid ss lids...perhaps with the silicone rims that come with the solid ss lids too. I do use those rims with the solid lids when I need things watertight (when storing and transporting liquids).

Very happy with these. I had been using old school plastic one-piece sprouting lids . These are such a joy to use! I love the 2-part design. The mesh dome is separate from the ring. The mesh dome sits flat on the rim of the jar so seeds do not get caught up in the seal (like with my old lids). Water fills and drains through the mesh quickly and easily. The rings screw on and off with ease. I didn’t think I’d use the storage tops but they’re great as well. I already own some Eco Peaceful jar lids and I can confirm they do NOT rust. That was my most important requirement, but these have exceeded my expectations.

I bought these for my daughter as she loved mine. These looked better than the brand I bought previously — and they are!! Higher grade metal. Stainless steel rings included. And silicone lids!!! The concave screen is better for air circulation. Highly recommend.

We do large quantities of sprouting in half gallon mason jars weekly. The plastic straining lids made for smaller smaller grains, seeds, beans just weren't cutting it - they allowed water to drain out OK, but refilling jars with water through these lids for rinsing the sprouts took forever... SO GLAD WE DECIDED TO GIVE THESE A TRY! They have made our sprouting routine a quick and easy task. We can both FILL and completely DRAIN our jars speedily without removing these lids. They have not rusted (we use them constantly). They are easily cleaned (we just power-rinse ours and air dry). The clear silicon "lids" (which are used for air-tight storage of sprouts in the fridge) are a great bonus! All components are well-made and durable. Nothing to complain about. We highly recommend!!

What a great invention. I love that it is high quality stainless steel that won't rust. I've been using a fibreglass screen and rubber band on a quart mason jar for decades. It was not feeling healthy. This works really well and I am grateful. The only thing that wasn't clear was whether to place the screen into the jar concave or convex, protruding outward. I chose concave. It's working so far on my first batch of sprouts.

Very well made. I trust this company because the founder really believes in her products and I believe she created them to fill a void when she was looking for such items. Basically, her items were created to meet her own standards, which she could not find because her standards were so high. For those with issues of fit, they do fit the Ball wide mouth jars, you just have to align the threads correctly. I just had to try twice to get it to work. Also, I did not loose a single brocolli seed with my rinses bc the mesh is tight, but it drains very well. Well made with no frayed metal screen. I am going to buy more stuff from her store bc I trust her standards.

So I got those lids because it’s nice not to have a rusty ones. I put my first set of micro greens to grow, and had a family emergency, and had to travel. I stayed out for two weeks. Of course, my husband should I change the water in my micro greens went bad. The good news is that the lids did not rust.

These are heirloom quality. This brand is a bit cheaper than the Trellis and Company ones, but seem like they come from the same factory. I get these sprout/tea screens from Eco Peaceful but not their solid lids. Their logo is stamped around the edge causing leaks while T&C stamps their logo in the middle of the lid. Any leaking from the seal would not be noticed here since the whole point of a screen is to leak. I gave it 5 stars on leakproof above only because these not a single thing wrong with these tops. I keep buying these because I love them so much and use them daily, I'm always gifting them and I know other will love them too. They are so well received, useful and should last many lifetimes!
