Amazon Basics Airtight Food Storage Containers, BPA Free, Dishwasher Safe, with Twist/Turn Lids, for Kitchen Pantry Organization, 10-Piece Square Set, Clear Plastic

This is one of the rare times when the Amazon Basics brand has a product that is clearly superior to the market leader. In this case, the natural comparison is to the XO brand. We own both, so the comparison was easy. Everything about these containers reflects a high quality design and construction. The clear plastic containers are of comparable quality and weight to the XOs, but we found that the Amazon locking mechanism is superior to the name brand XO product. These seem to lock more securely, and the design makes it possible to easily stack the smaller containers.

Great food containers!

These seal better than the OXO brand! I bought these, and some of the more expensive OXO brand with pop-up tops. I also bought some Better Homes & Gardens brand flip top containers from Walmart. These Amazon basics had the best seal. They are not anything fancy to look at, but their function is 5 stars. And turning the knob on top is barely more effect than the push bottom tops. I compared all three brands in the attached video.

I bought these to organize my pantry cabinet. I was annoyed with the pasta stored in ziplock bags. These have worked great so far to store the pasta, I used my label maker to identify the type and cook time of each pasta, and my pantry is finally easy to find things in. I only hand wash containers like this, so I can’t say if they’d be ok in the dishwasher. They seem durable so far and the lids seem airtight.

I bought this set mainly because it has two of every size. I wanted the two biggest ones the most, unfortunately, one out of two of the big jars broke in shipping. They do seem a bit thin walled but overall, they’re decent quality for the price. The seal on them works just as well if not better than more expensive containers I’ve purchased in the past. I just Wish I could just buy one large one to replace it instead of returning the whole set.

So I already own a 3 set of the old, round OXO pop top airtight containers. I love them, but I honestly prefer these locking lids so much more. The set is amazing at keeping pests at bay in an older house and, because the lid isn't a pop top, you can stack them much more easily. Basically, if you love OXO airtight containers, these are on par quality wise and might be more your speed functionality wise. I could see someone having a preference for the pop top style lids if they can't use their hands to open things as easily, but these lids are still pretty simple to open. You don't really need to, but it's easy to get a good grip on the locking mechanism and it doesn't take much pressure to open.

This is the BEST alternative if you were wanting the OXO Good Grips POP containers. Those are very expensive for just a few containers, where these give you 10 for a very reasonable price. These are perfect if you don't like the look of containers to have the side-locking lids (like me). I was so impressed with the quality and the airtight lids that I bought another set as soon as I got them. I bought some pantry stickers to put on them, and they look amazing!! I'm looking forward to placing them all together when my pantry is finished getting remodeled. When you turn the knob on the top of the container, you can tell it's extremely secured. Don't think twice, this gives you the perfect organized pantry look without the ridiculous price.

These are great. Love how they stack. Each top has a center piece that turns to lock & unlock. Very easy to use. They are plastic & will break if dropped from counter to floor. I will buy again.

Très bon produit et très utiles. Bien conçu pour le rangement. Si la commande à la pièces est mise en place j'en recommanderai, cela serait intéressant pour s'adapter à mes quantités.

Very good quality containers. They seal tightly, are easy to stack, and help keep food fresh. The different sizes are very practical for everyday use. Great value for money. Highly recommended!
