Not as advertised
Sadly the USB board is a dual board and not single as shown in the picture. Updating the review to 5 stars after I realised that the board can be separated. After some soldering I have a functional sensor

Worked fine. No issues.
Was very easy to interface with an Arduino NANO IoT 33. Used the Plantmate to sense moisture level in flower pots (one in the house and one outside). The result of the moisture test was sent via WiFi to a website I created so I could see moisture levels every day on a chart. Probably totally unnecessary for me to build but I enjoyed doing it. You do need to calibrate them before use. After you connect them to whatever is going to receive the data you should get the value they report when dry (313 for me) and also the value they report when submerged in water (679 for me). This becomes the range of values which you can convert to 0-100%.

It works, but the wiring could be better
I connected it over the core extension to the ESP 32 and further on to the cloud. It does read moisture outdoors. The only problem is the wires, they are lower quality. It was in the dirt for about a month, look at the connection.
