Excellent pair of blades, high quality steel. My application is not demanding on the blade themselves (no rocks, stones or debris… ) weighting on reconditioning a 4+ y.o. set or getting a fresh one at this price point I replaced mine. Mulching with new ones is much better and the replacement process ALWAYS USING A TORQUE WRENCH is really simple.

My old blades are 6 years old. They were just fine, but accidentally hit a block of wood, so decided it was time to replace. Old blades came off without much difficulty - just used a block of wood and my foot on the other side to offer resistance. Put the new ones exactly the same as the old ones making sure to use the old bolts (these are special heat-treated bolts with special washers - concave side toward the blade). I do have a torque wrench - tightened to 40 ft-lbs. Works just fine.

So far so good. The last set of blades I bought were cheap knock-offs, so these are a nice upgrade. They seem to be better quality, so hopefully last longer than the others. I've had them for one season now, and they're still going strong.
