Great for small eyes!
Exactly what I was looking for.. Perfect for my smaller eyes the other brands kept pinching my eyelids. With this I can do smaller sections at a time. And it gives a really nice lift.

Good concept, poor design.
I like the fact that there are no stops on either side of the curling line that you have to fit your eyelashes into. I like the fact that it is relatively easy to use. But I wish I'd paid closer attention to the one, two, and three star ratings. The first time I used it, the rubber pad fell out. I didn't notice it, and wondered why I kept getting a weird crimp in my eyelashes. I finally emptied my cosmetic bag, and found the rubber piece. I replaced it multiple times, and even resorted to Elmer's glue and super glue. Nothing holds the rubber in place. I've thought about taking a regular eyelash curler refill, and trimming to fit. But then I noticed the reason my eyelashes were crimping weird (when the rubber did stay in) had to do with the design of the eyelash curler. If you'll notice, all other eyelash curlers strike the rubber perpendicularly, or at a 90 degree angle. And, on all other eyelash curlers, the portion that strikes the curler is straight, but slightly curved horizontally, following the curve of the rubber portion, the way the edges of a cake pan are straight, but slightly curved to make a round cake. The Shu Uemura S eyelash curler has (at least) two design flaws: (1) the metal piece that strikes the rubber is angled outward (not perpendicular) at about 120 degree angle and it is straight for about 3/16 of an inch, (2) then the metal, under the white cap, bends backwards at a weird angle. There is no way this would ever make an upward curl in your eyelashes. It is physically impossible, based upon the shape of the top metal edge, attached to the white cap. You might get an "S" squiggle, instead of a nice upward curl. I consider myself a pro eyelash curler user, using an eyelash curler daily with a couple of coats of mascara. I have large, down-turned, deep-set eyes; I find it impossible to snare the outer eyelashes with a conventional eyelash curler. I purchased this to supplement my regular curler. I am now going to try a different brand of narrow eyelash curler for my outer lashes.

Pricey, yes, but worth it
I have straight lashes and for the first time, I have finally found a curler that allows me to curl and stay curled my lashes! I just wished they had the replacement pads on here. I'll never use another curler!

Wouldn’t recommend!! Do your research before purchasing
I usually don’t write reviews, but as I’m getting ready to throw this in the trash, I figure I’d write one and possibly save somebody $30. I wish I would’ve read more reviews. I got about two weeks worth of use out of this eyelash curler due to the pad consistently falling off until I lost it. The eyelash curler is quite small about the size of a gift card. It worked for me, but I have small hands. I could see it being an issue for somebody with bigger hands or thick fingers. There is a bit of a learning curve, but when it worked and did a good job curling my eyelashes. I would NOT recommend this eyelash curler due to the price and durability of it.

Not REALLY Worth The Money
I have small asian eyes so initially, I thought this would be the holy grail but it alright. Maybe because I have small eyes, this didn't really work how I thought it would've. The curling part (where it clamps) is shorter than your average curler; therefore, you can go in and get all the lashes: long and short, curled. I found that this took much longer than using a regular lash curler since I had to curl sections at a time, and then I'd have to go over the "seam" in between the sections to make it look like all the them were evenly curled. Then I'd have to curl out to the ends to get the curled effect and by that time a few lashes had already fallen into my eye and part of my eyeshadow had transferred onto the top of the curler. My lashes are thicker since I have asian hair so maybe it was just me but I don't know. Also, it's such a burden to put in the little rubber piece since it keeps falling out and I tried lash glue: it didn't work, and I don't want to put super glue near my eye what so ever so yeah oh and also they don't sell the rubber parts anywhere so if you lose it then you either have to toss it or buy a new curler.

It's Different But I Like It
I originally wrote a poor review, but I just realized that I wasn't using it correctly because a huge sticker was covering the directions on the box. Now I get it! The curl isn't very strong, but my lashes don't curl easily. I need time to play with it. The full sized curlers don't contour to the shape of my eye & pinched every time. This smaller size is more comfortable, but I have to get used to closing my eye when I use it. Other reviewers were disappointed with it, so I think you can only find out if it works by using it.

Best eyelash curler for monolids. Gets every single lash for a perfect doll-like lash curl!
This is the best eyelash curler for a precise, perfect curl. A lot of reviewers said this wasn't good for their eye shape, but if you have a monolid, this is the perfect eyelash curler for you. The flat top of the curler will help push against your eyelid to make your lashes stick out more for the curler to grab every single lash. Then the small size of the curler will allow you to get every lash in the corners and give it the most precise curl you will ever have. The pad of the curler is unique and has a rounded top unlike regular curlers which have a flat pad. The curved pad will allow the curler to really crimp and curl your lashes into the most beautiful, perfect, doll-like lash curl. As a warning, this eyelash curler itself is quite small. The only think I would change about the curler is to make the handles bigger so that the user can get a better grip and control the curl better. The handle is so small, that is it a bit uncomfortable to hold.

Ready to be told you have to buy another curler when you lose the pad?
Once it comes time to replace the pads or you just lose the bottom pad like I did well they don’t sell them so it basically becomes an unusable piece of trash. Such a waste.

Small but uncomfortable
Bought this after reading some rave reviews online. I like the small size as it helps me reach my short and stubby lashes but it is very uncomfortable to press. The handles are thin metal and really leaves a dent in my fingers and since it’s so small you need to press repeatedly to curl all lashes.
