Are they truly "Jumbo" size? I worry about choking hazards.

Yes! Ours are truly EXTRA-LARGE. The largest is over 4 inches, and even the smallest is strictly choke-safe. Designed for ages 1-3, they are chunky, easy to grasp, and much bigger than standard sets. Total peace of mind!

Are they too slippery or hard to stack for toddlers?

The velvet-smooth finish prevents splinters, ensuring safety. The smoothness adds an intentional challenge! It helps kids learn patience and fine motor skills. It’s not "too hard"—it’s a fun lesson in balance and resilience.

Are they real wood? Is the paint safe for mouthing?

Yes, 100% natural solid wood with non-toxic, BPA-free water-based paint. They are odorless and safe if mouthed. We use lightweight wood so tumbling towers won't hurt little toes or fingers. Safe, vibrant, and fun!

Is this suitable for a 1-year-old?

For 1-year-olds, it's great for grasping, colors, and sensory play. By ages 2-3, they start building complex towers. An open-ended Montessori toy that engages them for years, not just days.

Does it come in a box suitable for gifting?

Absolutely! It comes in a beautifully designed package, ready to wrap. Perfect for birthdays, Christmas, or baby showers. Unlike plastic toys, these heirloom-quality wooden stones are a thoughtful gift that parents and kids love.

Quality made! Fun and educational! Imagination & creativeness! Love 'em!

These wooden, beautifully carved, durable, different colored, wonderfully sanded, stained & sealed "rocks" are absolutely gorgeous and fun for adults, as well as children. They are lighter weight than expected, but easy for children to hold. Great quality and lovely to look at. The 1 year old doesn't yet know about stacking them, but loves holding each one. Educational in talking about the soft, rounded shapes, the different colors, the weight of each and showing how to stack & play with them. Wonderful for imagination and creativeness. Good value for the money. Love them!!

great for toddlers!

I love these toys. The vibrant colors are appealing to both kids and adults. The unique, cool shapes feel wonderful in your hands—smooth, lightweight, and easy to manipulate. The quality construction is apparent; they hold up well to regular play and stacking without any signs of wear. My favorite part is how seamlessly they integrate with our other building blocks, opening up endless possibilities for creativity. They’re also a joy to sort by color, adding a fun and educational element to playtime. Whether you’re building towers, creating patterns, or just enjoying the sensory experience of handling them, these blocks are a must-have. Highly recommend for anyone looking to add something special to their toy collection!

Lively, bright, well painted, no rough edges, great stacking stones

I am so glad I bought these. I read somewhere preschool classrooms need different types of blocks for enrichment. So i bought these little rock blocks for my <1 year old grandson. Right now he just likes banging them together and knocking them down, which is fine. But they will be even more fun later. First off you don't get too many, you get 16 beautifully bright, smooth blocks to play with of different sizes. They definitely encourage some creative play because they are all shaped like skimming stones at a beach. Easy to store in the cardboard box they arrived in. I love how vibrant and durable they are.
