When I first bought this, it was nothing more than a neat accoutrement to put on a controller I was customizing. However, I thought if it was any good, it would be nice to have some grip since the top piece to my customization is super slick. But when I got it and installed it, I realized it was actually incredibly handy and well-crafted. The grip is rubbery without being too soft and feels unlikely to wear down without massive usage. In fact, it has stood up fairly well to moderate to heavy usage for a month now with no signs of wear. I liked it so much that I bought two more (one white, one black) for my other two controllers I'm not customizing just because the ease of installation and the feel. It's definitely worth it. I'd heartily recommend it if you want some grip and don't want to add reformat buttons to the bottom.

Feels great, easy enough install. Just be careful when opening your controller as the included pry tool can damage the plastic on your oem shell. On the bright side the damage was minimal and I couldn’t even feel it when everything was put back together.

Just received this today and I’m already very impressed. I mainly use the Dualsense Edge on my PS5, which comes from the factory with some rubber pads on the back that improve the grip. I’ve been using my regular Dualsense controllers for PC gaming recently, and I’ve been missing that extra grip on the back. I had used the adhesive skin type grips in the past but they always ended up looking bad and being complicated to install properly. Then I found out about this product. Comes with everything you need to remove the factory backplate and install the new one, and the video walkthrough is actually really good and in depth. All in all, took me about 10 minutes to have it installed. The rubber on the back is pretty firm with a nice stipple texture. Bonus points for the white matching the Dualsense perfectly, you wouldn’t know this thing is third party just from looking at it. Well worth the money, my regular Dualsense feels much more like the Edge now!

It all started with special edition Xbox controllers having partial rubber grips...They make SO much sense but no OEM other than Microsoft's expensive Elite controllers, offer them. I wish this was a 360 degree option, but the back is more important.These are WAY easier to install than the Xbox series x controls and just about anyone could do it. They include the tools required and a link to a video showing you how to install them. It really makes the experience of picking up and using the controller so much better. The aesthetics aren't bad either! Well, maybe the black more than the white (that's kinda ugly, but you could always use the black back on a white controller).Price seems fair, quality seems good.I sprung for a no name adhesive 360 wrap as well. Totally different feel and I'm not sure which I prefer more. Maybe the wrap for feel/grip and these units for looks...

I'm using this PS5 controller back shell to replace my stock controller. The thickness seems normal and doesn't add any weight. The texture adds to grip, but it's all plastic (and does not include a rubber coating or rubber insert). The nice part of it being all plastic is less susceptibility to wear or damage over time. Fit and finish will go perfect with the custom build and all the buttons are aligning well. The quality of the shell is good - no defects were found inside or outside on the surface. The black color is dark (not faded or grey).

I have a couple controllers that I've customized various parts on and after being dissatisfied with the sticker grip on my other controller I wanted to try this backplate. The install is very easy. If you've never opened your Dualsense before, don't worry, this is about as easy as it gets.The install should take beginners 15-20 minutes tops (if you need to look up videos).The grip is subtle but that's what I was looking for so it's perfect for me. The plate itself is also a perfect replica of the stock Dualsense backplate so the seams where the plates meet are nice and tight.Great product overall

the rubberized grip isn't as soft as I would like, but it's a nice alternative to the original grip, and this was a great value. The plastic molding is a perfect fit.

Took me 3 minutes to swap out this backplate for the factory stock one using just what was included in the box. The hardest connections to separate are gonna be right next to r1 and L1 bumpers, but with a bit of patience and wiggling they will pop. After you remove the plastic cover piece that surrounds the analog sticks, don't forget to disengage the two latches right underneath the microphone mute button. Super simple to replace. And if you're little black cover around the analog sticks isn't setting properly at the bottom of each side of the controllers handles you may need to remove one small plastic latch piece. Think that depends on the model of dualsense you have but you'll know you need to do it if the piece doesn't completely seat itself snug. 1000 percent better then the stock backing, would recommend 10 out of 10 times. Will be using this company for their clicks button and led kits in the future
