Rain Chains Direct Contempo Rain Chain, 8.5 Feet Length, Aluminum, Gray. Looked at dozens of these and many had low reviews. We needed Rain Chains as a low cost and decorative way to add gutters to an outbuilding that abuts our paved patio. After several light and heavy winter rains we can attest to the effectiveness of these chains. We put one chain on each side of the outbuilding. My wife likes them and so do I. They do not splash water all over the place as we saw in some video reviews of other products. We both recommend this product. I think they do the job well at a very affordable price.

Easy to install on our back yard shed that only had one gutter, connected to a rain barrel now and works even with heavy rainfall gets the water from the gutter to the barrel. Shows no signs of weathering, still a dusky aluminum / silver color, no green /blue tinges at all. I would recommend and buy again if I needed this solution to divert water. These have been installed for +1 yr - so holding up just fine!

I love the rain chain and believe it is good quality. The problem is the cup size cannot handle substantial rain events and overflows throwing water everywhere, which can be problematic if you install them in an area where you have a basement wall or any area that this could create a flooding or moisture problem. I had it installed to flow to a rain barrel, but it was splashing everywhere and created a problem of water entering into my basement. I was sad because I was very happy with the rain chain and rain barrel installation. Had to take them down.

This is just what we needed. We just re-graveled our campsite and didn't want the downspout to wash away all the new gravel during a heavy rainstorm. A friend suggested a rain chain and we found this one on Amazon. It's beautiful and was a lot less pricey than some of the others we looked at! It has already been through some pretty heavy downpours and has done exactly what we wanted it to - it slows the gutter drainage down enough so that it doesn't wash away all of our new gravel! And as a plus, it's cool to watch in action! We would definitely recommend this item!

We love these thu came packages in individual pieces but were easy to put together. Just don’t over bend the connector or it will break. These are really nice on our house.

This chain keeps up with a heavy rain and also looks good with the runoff from a light mist. Easy to install and adjust. I'm not sure how it would hold up in an area with ice, but it would probably look really cool while a layer of ice was forming.
