Has anyone used this for concrete?

Yes it can I used it with a 5 gal bucket 1 50 lb bag and 2.5 l of water. started with half of the bag and worked the rest of the way up. I used a cordless 18 v drill I bought at Harbor freight on sale for 25 dollars.

How long is the shaft?

Overall length is 16", The stirring section is 4", leaving 12" for the remaining shaft. Worked well in 5 gal bucket.

what size drill chuck needed for this product?

I use a 3/8" drill, the photo shows a removable cap with loop for hanging. When it is removed it exposes the shaft end that fits into the drill chuck just as a drill bit.
