Big cage, lots of doors
I had 2 budgies in an 18x18x30 finch cage. It was fine, but then they had bebes. Decided to splurge on the big cage for the family of 4. They are loving the space. The rope perch is everybody's new favorite.I looked at a lot of cages. There were a few cheaper large cages, but most had only 2 doors or wider bar spacing. This one has a lot of small doors in addition to the 2 large ones. (We have an elderly pet sitter and honestly I would worry if he had to use the big doors.) 9.5mm bar spacing, so appropriate for small birds. Lots of perches, platforms, ladders and food cups included. Both the solid pan and the wire base are removable for cleaning. Not difficult to assemble with 2 people. I did use zip ties to hold each set of panels together during assembly. Seems well built and sturdy. All told, it's worth the extra money to get *all* the features.

We (my bird and I) absolutely love this cage!!
This cage is amazing!! It's so much bigger than we thought it would be. Our bird absolutely loves it!! He goes from the top to the bottom, climbing on the ropes, walking up and down the stairs, playing with toys along the way. It was super easy to put together. It's put together with screws and not zip ties like so many of the others we looked at. The main reason he needed a new cage is because he kept escaping from his old cage. I don't think he'll be escaping from this one!! It appears that it will be easier to clean then his old one as well. It's going to be so much easier to move from room to room as well. It's super sturdy and doesn't tip when moving it. I love that it came with so many food and water dishes (and he's tried out each one) and so many perches. In his old cage he moved around a little, but in this one he's super active and you can tell he's having a great time!!

My birds love it
I bought this for my birds, and seeing that it came with 2 platforms I knew my birds would love it. It's spacious, and much bigger than I expected. It's taller than me.. Which I LOVE. It's easy to build, sturdy. No missing parts. It wasn't damaged when I got it out of the package. It's stable, doesn't wabble. It is quite safe in my opinion. It's great for budgies.. The budgies look so itty bitty inside this huge cage. I love the color. Easy to clean as well

My bird LOVES this cage! For the money, you can't go wrong with this cage. It's huge, very sturdy and the extra storage is a plus.

Amazing cage, fun to style, and BIRDS LOVE IT!
LOVE IT:Absolutely LOVE this bird cage! It was on sale so it ended up being the same price, or even a little less expensive than the much smaller cage I purchased for my parakeets two years ago. My birds are so happy and love their mansion!!! Haha! They have the entire thing just for the two of them, and they have so much more room to play, fly, and just be comfortable. I am so happy I decided to get this cage for them. They like to sit at the very top of the cage so they are eye level with me or even slightly above my eye level, which is so fun for them and for me. We interact much better now that I don't have to stoop over, and we can kiss through the bars and just have a good time! If you have the space for it, definitely get it! Your birds will thank you!MY DESIGN HACK:To make the most of the cage, I measured the top and purchased plexiglass in a custom size from Home Depot for about $80 so I could lay it across the top of the cage and put whatever plants I wanted up there, and any other decor without having to worry about those items pushing down on the top which is not capable of sustaining additional weight. The plexiglass lays across the structural frame of the cage which is quite heavy duty, so I can put a decent amount of smaller items on top without any type of bending taking place, and that top section of bars isn't even being disturbed. I plan at some point to have a custom wooden frame built to go around the top of the cage to make it a little fancier looking and more like a furniture piece, and then lay the plexiglass inside of that frame.WHAT I WOULD CHANGE:If I were to change anything about this cage design, it would be for the top to actually be curved, and more like a traditional bird cage because that would be so ELEGANT and look fabulous! Of course, my plant and decor hack wouldn't work with a curved top, but it sure would be beautiful! I also would have loved a pure white option, or cream option, but the speckled gray is still really nice, so I don't mind. I also wish it had more doors on the left and right side because I am using clear plexiglass boxes that hang out the sides of the cage, and having extra doors on the very top section of the cage would be amazing.

cockatiel palace
long review, but worth reading. I sectioned it off based on the category.*SHIPPING* The cage arrived very quickly, and I believe it was actually delivered earlier than expected!*WEIGHT* The box is pretty heavy, so it is a lot easier to lift with another person.*ASSEMBLY* Same goes with assembling the cage, although one person can probably manage to do it alone, it is much easier with a second person. Upon assembly I did notice some slight bends in the metal, but nothing too drastic. We were still able to assemble the cage fairly easily, there were just some parts that required a little more strength. Once the cage was fully assembled, you couldn’t even tell there were any bends.*STURDINESS/LOOKS* It looks very nice, and feels sturdy. In the picture you will notice some locks on the doors, these are not because the doors are flimsy or will open, those are there just as a precaution so somehow my bird does not escape and scare my roommate. I was not concerned about the smaller doors opening at all, but it’s better to be safe. The larger doors are very nice, one of the locks was a bit tough but nothing crazy. The tray was pretty nice, and I liked how the plastic was smooth instead of textured. I’ve had textured crate trays in the past and it just makes cleaning a bit harder.*SIZE* The size of the cage is perfect for my cockatiel. You could definitely use this cage for parrots a little larger, or for multiple, smaller parrots. I did not use the pieces designed to go in the cage or perches that came with the cage. I wouldn’t recommend using the long wooden perches that come with because they are linked to arthritis in birds’ feet. Most cages come with these, so I usually set them aside and save them incase I ever absolutely needed them. As for the pieces of metal designed to go in the cage, I did not put these in because I preferred to use ladders and other materials. I stand at 5’2 and this cage while on the stand is taller than me. The stand is not large, there is enough room for keeping food and some storage, which I personally prefer. What I like most is the size of the cage itself. There was enough room for me to add multiple perches, rope ladders, multiple toys, and one of those hanging spiral perches. Even with all of this in there, the cage is not overcrowded, and there is still plenty of space.*OVERALL* If there weren’t some bends to the metal, I would’ve given this cage 5 stars. However, due to some pieces being slightly bent and making assembly just a little harder, I have to give it 4 stars. I was nervous about buying this cage at first due to some of the reviews, but It seems most bird cages have similar problems when looking at those reviews. I’m very happy that I decided to buy this cage, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a larger cage. I think the price is great for the size, as I have seen bird cages less than half the size for double the price. If you are on the fence about buying it, I would recommend buying it and if it doesn’t work out there is always the option of returning. I understand buying and returning can be a hassle, but I think it is worth it when you’re considering buying a quality and comfortable home for your bird.

Perfect & spacious cage for my cockatiel
I recently became a parent to my 3 month old cockatiel. He doesn’t have his tail feathers yet so he can’t really fly but I figured getting him a big cage to play in and get used to while he’s a baby would be wise. I ordered this in white and it does look textured and colored like concrete up close but far away, it’s a nice look and you can tell it’s white. The assembly was pretty easy but time consuming. Be sure to have an hour to put it together and someone to help you. My boyfriend put it together by himself with me holding some stuff for him but other than that, it was just a cautious and slow, yet easy job. The wooden dowels that it comes with are good for right now but we will be putting in more natural perches and I advise any bird parent to do the same! Their precious feet need something other than straight sticks. This cage also came with food bowls and a mendable rope toy with a bell. The bowls are good for a temporary situation until you can get better ones. These are a bit too deep for my cockatiel to reach down in and eat out of unless I fill his food all the way up. So I advise getting proper bowls but the ones it comes with is a decent temp solution! We threw the toy rope away because we read other reviews about a woman’s sun conure passing away from the material the toy was made out of. Please don’t use any toys that you don’t know what the material is made out of. It may seem nice that it came with the cage however its better to buy toys separately and from brands that you know won’t harm or potentially kill your bird. Lastly, some parts came a tiny bit bent but it really wasn’t a hassle to fix or just leave it like that because it doesn’t affect me or my bird in any harmful way. It may be a little annoying for aesthetic purposes however I’m looking more for efficiency than looks. All in all, this is a good cage for cockatiels and we plan to get him a friend sometime soon. If needed, I’ll come back with an update!

Very pleased!
I haven't moved my cockatiel into this cage yet as we just put it together last night and I'm waiting on more accessories to arrive, but she's already so excited about it! Hopefully the new cockatiel I'm bringing home next week feels the same when it's her turn to move in. It is very roomy, but given the other reviews, I had zero doubt lol. This is not my first rodeo with allen wrench home furnishings, so it took less than 30 minutes to assemble with the husband stepping in a few times to hold some parts together. Feels sturdy, doors are secure, glides across the floor like a dream too!I was worried that the platform grates would be the perfect size for getting feet and toes caught, but the holes are big enough that I don't see it being a problem for small/medium sized birds. I'm not a fan of white, but it's really not that horrible and the hammered texture helps out tremendously.I'm considering buying another one for my parakeets - the price and quality is right!
