desertcart.com : LIHIT LAB Pen Case (Pencil Case), Water & Stain Repellent, 8" x 4'', Navy (A7688-11) : Office Products Review: Really good design. Good for plein air kits. - It can really open SO WIDE and closes to a compact size. I got the wide option and it's so perfect for my watercolor supplies <3!! I LOVE traveling with this bag from room to room or even outside. It's not bulky and it's the right size for my supplies. I LOVE the side pockets, I do wish they were elastic, but honestly these are perfectly fine and they don't bother me. I was afraid my thin palette would flail out of the big pocket, but it doesn't!! The pouch is so durable and I haven't tested the water resistance. The zipper is quality as well It also fits my 4 oz container I keep in there to use with my travel brush. Review: LIHITLAB makes great cases - This is my second pen case from LIHITLAB. It's got everything I need. I can put my everyday carry pens (about 4), sticky notes, correction tape, sharpener, eraser very comfortably in this pouch. It looks great too. I love the color. It feels like it's made well: the zips and stitches feel sturdy.

Nearly perfect work-out-of tool pouch, one star off for the low quality zippers
TLDR: Holds quite a lot, and even holds bulky objects well while still zipping up for storage / travel. Chunky even when not fully packed, but stands up well on a desk. Stitching is good, fabric is durable, pockets hold items semi-securely, zippers are only okay and will likely break far sooner than anything else. I have a few other Lihit Lab products and their utility can be hit or miss, so I wasn't sure about this one at first. After it went for sale at half price, I figured it wouldn't hurt to add it to my (already substantial) pencil case collection. I prefer to have my drawing tools laid out where I can easily grab them, but they are also easy to pack up and move if needed: traveling, cleaning, panicked relocation due to roof leaks, or just wanting to work in a different location. This means I mostly gravitate towards tool pouches that stand up on their own but close up securely. This does not disappoint! Sits comfortably on my desk, holds a ridiculous array of supplies and looks pretty good too. One thing to note: this is a chunky case even with nothing in it. The shape of it doesn't really fold flat well, and the wide bottom means that even if you only have 3 pens in it (but why would you buy this if you only have 3 pens?), it's still just as wide as if it held 13 pens. The outer fabric is a tough nylon / canvas (Cordura-like) fabric that so far hasn't stained. Stitching is solid all around and inside. The pouch opens wide to allow you to see most everything inside of it, and even has a crease on the side with the 3 pockets to "fold" it open more. The bottom is made of a synthetic leather-like material which is much smoother to the touch; I assume this is to make it "grip" desks a bit more than the nylon. Inside on the sides of main area there are 5 mesh pockets, 2 on one side and 3 on the other. On the side with two pockets, one is ~33% the length of the pouch while the other is ~66%. The 3 pocket size has equally sized pockets. One could pull the stitches out of either side to increase the pocket size (I would recommend doing this on the 3 pocket side). The pocket lips are made of a slightly stretchy elastic, so bulky items will fit in these pockets fairly easily. However, the elastic is only slightly stretchy so it's a possibility that bulky things could fall out if you zip this up and throw it in a bag; since it zips up the items shouldn't get lost in the larger bag but just something to be aware of. The zippers are smooth but plastic and not-YKK brand - I suspect this will be the point of failure as they have been in so many other Lihit Lab products. The pulls are tiny, I mean seriously tiny, but they come with extra plastic pulls threaded through them. If Lihit Lab would just invest a little more in their zippers, the longevity of their products would likely double. Aside from the zipper quality, my only complaint is that pet hair is attracted to this like bees to a flower. I normally keep the following inside it: * 13 misc pens / pencils (regular length) - variety of Micron, Pitt, and Pentel Touch pens / markers + a regular Sharpie * 3" x 4" Pentalic traveler's sketchbook * 2 pads of sticky notes * 2 rolls of washi tape / stickers * small Altoids tin (kneadable eraser, paper clips, binder clips, eraser refills, lead) * Staedler mars plastic eraser (chunky kind) * 192 page pocket size Moleskine notebook The case still zips up even with the Moleskine - although it's a tight fit. 2023 edit: Added some photos, particularly to show that a pocket Moleskine fits and zips even when stuffed with other things. Zippers are still going strong but my skepticism remains. This has become my daily driver and holds whatever set of drawing implements I'm obsessed with this week without complaint. It sits right next to me on my desk and is handler than I ever could have predicted. I don't always store the pocket size notebook in it but the smaller notebook lives there permanently. My only gripe is how much it attracts cat & dog hair, which you can see in the last photo. If this is currently priced at $13 or under and you're on the fence, buy it. You will find a use for it.

Best Pencil Case for artists that pack light
I couldn't wait to receive this package. When it arrived I immediately loaded it up with my favorite journaling supplies. I like to carry a few items around just in case I get a few minutes to journal, but I hate feeling loaded down. Average pencil cases are a tad small for those extra art accessories, but the larger art cases are overkill. This bag has just enough room for a few pen options, washis and a watercolor palette--perfect for my needs! Plus it has tons of little design features that make it easy to use. It sits upright on a table and has a gusset to open wide and find what you need. There are just enough pockets to organize without adding bulk. The pockets are also netted, so you can see what's in there. There are double zipper pulls (really smooth action) so I can open it from either side when it's shoved in my bag :) The tapered top is a small detail, but it really helps reduce size without sacrificing storage. So far this pencil case is a huge win. Fabric seems strong but I'll update review after awhile of real world use, to let all know how it holds up. I've included a few photos to show how case looks packed. The pics with my key fob and A5 Bujo are for size reference. UPDATE: after several years of use the bag has held up pretty well. There is a small tear in the interior seam, but the zippers, pockets and exterior fabric are great.

Perfect little pen case holds more than you think
This is a perfect pen case for my needs. I write lots of snail mail, journal each day, and just generally feel lost without a small selection of pens and stationary supplies on hand at a moments notice. My favorite features of this little bag are: that it stands upright easily and stays put even if you are moving around on the couch next to it, it opens wide so you can see all contents easily, it has two smooth working zippers, the bag material is soft and sturdy and pleasant to hold, it has 5 mesh pockets inside with a large middle area. One of the mesh pockets is longer than the others so something larger can go there such as a mini pad of paper, or even a mini watercolor kit perhaps. In my bag I am carrying 15 pens of various types from full-sized fountain pens, mini fountains, microns, markers, and signo uniballs, 5 rolls washi tape, one full sized Colorbox ink stamp pad, and 1-2 wooden approx one inch square stamps. All of this zips in easily. I could fit additional pens in but it would start to feel a bit jammed for me I think. If I carry a bit less washi or skip stamps then more pens would fit easily. The black material is nice with a medium grey interior. This is truly a perfect case for me - not too much, not too little - just right! I hope it works as well for you.

Great little bag
I use this bag for knitting supplies. Five inside pockets and plenty of room for a small bag. I like the size, not too big and not too small. I purchased the yellow green bag, nice color. Double zip and nylon fabric.

Spacious and easy access
This case has so much space for pens, pencils, and accessories. There are some small side pockets made from mesh and sized for erasers and pencil sharpeners. It has held up well in backpacks and suitcases.

can't go wrong with Lihit Lab products
This pen case holds a lot of stuff! I love the way it is structured to stay wide open so you can see what's inside and you don't have to root around. It seems like it's quality fabric and the seams are clean and sturdy. I ordered another one for a gift. Highly recommend.

Smart Fit for your stationary needs.
Everything about this pouch is built to last. The material, design & craftsmanship from lihitlab is outstanding. I tend to carry a lot of stationery & this can hold all my supplies & it's well organized. Details. 1) Pouch is Matt-blue on outside with smoother shinier base viz very practical to wipe away any accidental ink stains/dirt. 2) the zipper is good, glides smoothly but not silent. 3) The pouch is on bulkier side than regular, not suited for minimalists. If you carry anywhere above 10-15 items, this will feel compact compared to what it holds. Even with 20, the case was only near half filled. 4) Grey color interior compliments outer color well, is roomy, v.easy to clean, tall enough to fit full length pencils. On both walls are 6 compartments of various sizes for post-its/ sharpeners/erasers/pendrives/page markers.. In photo, I've kept about 15 items including whitener & some other stuff on wall pockets for demonstration. Overall this is wonderfully designed pouch & must have for artists/people carrying more supplies. Only con is it's a bit expensive. I prefer this to the other open-book type models from lihitlab, as these take much less of desk space although latter is more organized. These are cheaper as well. 4.5/5 _______________________________ Pls vote helpful ++ T h a n k. Y o u
