Fun, creepy, and great for FNaF fans
Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach on PS5 is a really fun entry in the series and feels much bigger than the older games. I liked getting to explore the Mega Pizzaplex instead of being stuck in one small area, and that made the game feel fresh while still keeping the creepy Five Nights at Freddy’s atmosphere. The visuals are colorful and detailed, and the setting is one of the best parts of the game. The Pizzaplex feels huge, lively, and unsettling at the same time. Glamrock Freddy is also a standout and easily one of the most memorable characters in the franchise. His dynamic with Gregory adds a lot to the story and makes the game more engaging. The game has some tense moments, fun chase sequences, and plenty for FNaF fans to enjoy, especially if you like lore and exploring. On PS5, the experience is smooth overall, and the game really benefits from the larger world and more ambitious style. It does have a few rough edges here and there, but overall I still had a good time with it. If you enjoy FNaF and want something that feels different from the earlier games while still keeping the series’ identity, this is worth playing.

Honestly up there as one of my favorite FNAF games
Game's got a bad rap from the 'fans' who are only here for the content we got in the first three games. that said, I was hyped at the news that we'd be getting a free roam addition to the franchise. not only is the voice acting and character designs of this game on top, but the entire plot is genuinely really fun. yeah, definitely not scary, but i'm cool with that. it's giving a bit of SL, custom night, and Pizza sim, and there's a lot of character interaction (and bugs). Love this game to bits and will be replaying when I've got more time on my hands. give it a shot!

A fun and interesting game... But unfortunately, also an unfinished one
Bought this on PS5. I really enjoy the FNAF games and don't normally leave reviews but I wanted to on this game just to get my thoughts down somewhere. This game is a huge step fowards for the franchise and it has a very fun gameplay loop. I was expecting a linear first person horror game but in reality it's heavily based on exploration. After the first couple of hours of the game, more or less the entire mall opens up and you're encouraged to explore areas you've already been to again as well as check every optional nook and cranny for hidden lore and collectibles, all the while being stalked by (for the most part not scary at all) animatronics. The gameplay loop is really fun and satisfying, and in a strange way it reminds me of classic resident evil. Unfortunately, it pains me to say that for how fun this game is at a base level, it is one of the most unpolished games I've ever played. It very, very clearly needed another year of development. This is especially disappointing because the studio who made this also made FNAF: Help Wanted, which is one of the most polished VR games I've ever played. But unfortunately, this game was not given the same love and attention for whatever reason. Obvious glitches and bugs are present probably every 10-20 minutes of playing, always immersion-breaking, and sometimes game-breaking. Animatronics will get stuck on the environment frequently and clip through walls and doors all the time. One time I was getting chased by a human character and they just stopped being able to chase me. They saw me, and the music implied they were chasing me, but they weren't. They just stood still. One category of collectible just doesn't load in my collectibles menu, meaning I'm not even sure yet if it's possible for me to get 100% on my save file anymore. Occasionally the controls will lag for a few seconds for no reason. When fire is on the screen, which isn't often, the entire game dips to 10 fps, even on PS5, and screen tearing starts occurring. Sometimes the camera screen glitches and won't highlight the camera you're currently viewing so you have no idea what you're looking at. Past all of this is a general level of unpolish that is disappointing to say the least. Menus are dull and somewhat unresponsive. The collectibles menu doesn't describe or allow you to rotate the collectible, instead just showing a zoomed in JPEG of it with no additional info. Most lore collectibles are just text in an ugly pause screen that immediately go into a "read" category with zero organization. You can't zoom or rotate the map, making it overly difficult to get your bearings. The map itself has very few helpful markers to know where you should go. The camera movement lags a ton, and the map doesn't show you any cone of view from your camera, making it even harder to tell what it's showing you. Many sound effects lack impact or are missing outright. Some AI and animation is just poorly done or creepy (Freddy, who is your companion in this game, can be called by pressing L1. At which point he sprints full force at you and then stops dead in his tracks to stare at you. Mouth animations are nothing more than jaw flaps on animatronics (which, like, I get that they're robots, but I still think they could've found something that looks better), no characters have specific animations for when they're speaking unless it's a cutscene; they just stand idle or do their walking animation while their mouth flaps. No arm or head movements or anything to make them look natural). I could go on and on. The game just feels unfinished, there's really not much more to say. I like this game at it's core--I genuinely do--but it's disappointing to me that the team (or the publisher, or whoever) thought it was in an acceptable state to be released. If you can put up with a LOT of jank, you'll probably have a good time. But if you have low tolerance for that kind of stuff, steer clear of this game. You'll have some unfair deaths and some game-breaking bugs, so only go in if you can see past that stuff. The underlying game and story is a fun time.
