EssieSmooth-E Smoothing Base Coat Nail Polish, Clear, 0.46 Ounce

I’ve worn press-ons for a few years now very regularly. Even with letting my nails relax for a week between sets I have ridges and dips in my soft, flimsy nails, so no press ons for a while but I still want to paint my nails, obv. Quick google and here I am, looking for ridge filler. I don’t love Essie polish in general (I hate the brush, it’s just too thin and I literally am just now realizing I could use an old brush from a bottle I liked. Anyway—) but I decided to give it a try, and it definitely works. My nails, especially my thumbs, are puckered from the press ons pulling on them and I was able to get a very smooth set done. My fingers only took one coat but my thumbs are a mess so I did two, and they looked great. Definitely recommend and will purchase again (unless I finally just give up press-ons ha).

I really like this base coat. It does fill ridges & helps polish to go on more smoothly, for a nice finished nail.

I use this on the woman I care for who is 82 years old. She has ridges in her nails and this smoothes them out before polish Also, the top coat really helps too

I'm not proud of this but it is just my testament as to how good this product is. I had (glue on) fake nails on and a couple popped off and I was going to remove them before going to an event. There was small water leak emergency in the house and it set me back on my time to get ready. I pulled my nails off and hurried to get ready. I just went over my real nails, glue and all, then painted and top coated. I do not recommend any of this but you couldn't tell how neglectful I was. My nails looked perfectly smooth even with only 1 coat of this product
