Basic item that does exactly what it's supposed to do

keeps my bag from burning on xr650l on both roads and trails

I have many Nelson Riggs pieces and love them all. I got this for a little extra protection for there 15l saddlebags. I had no problem before getting this but I felt a lot safer with it. I also want to say the folks at Nelson Riggs are always available for any help or support you might need. They've given me advise on a size for a tank bag and they gave me the perfect suggestion. All the pieces of theirs I have purchased work great and look great

I had the Nelson Rigg Hurricane throw-over saddle bags and burned a nice big hole in the bag that would touch the exhaust frequently. The exhaust burned through the bag and melted my Crocs flip-flops! With this guard in place it would have helped save the bag and the Crocs! Also had to scrub all the melted plastics off the exhaust, which again this handy item would have prevented.

I used one of these on my muffler and one on my exhaust. The exhaust took some work to use. Had to make 4 extra cuts and then use 6 metal zip ties to float it off the pipe. Seemed to work. The muffler was simple which seems to be what this is built for.
