Nib + Ink: A Modern Calligraphy Sketchbook

This is a good book for the beginner looking to get into modern pointed pen calligraphy. The book gives an overview of the tools and how to use them, an intro to the basic strokes, and many practice pages of the alphabet. The last section of the book provides several pages of beautifully written phrases, so you can put your new skills into action.The book is beautifully printed and bound. The paper is smooth and heavy, and pages can easily be written onto. Grab a pen, nib and ink and you're ready to go. The binding is sturdy enough for the book to be pushed flat to write into.Intermediate or experienced calligraphers probably will not get much from this book. Yes, it does have a lot of blank pages. But I think this book is appropriately titled as a "sketchbook". This is a good resource for the novice, and well worth the (very reasonable) price.

Excellent examples and practice pages. Nice styles and directions on how to write. Not really for a total beginner but more of a level 2 book.

I just wish that it was spiral bound for easy copying! Other than that the fonts are everything I’ve wanted from a modern calligraphy book!

Me gusto mucho

Un’amica mi aveva consigliato questo libro e io lo raccomando a mia volta. Ci sono tanti spunti e lo spazio giusto per fare le prove! Come tutti i libri di calligrafia non approfondisce molto come costruire le parole unendo le varie lettere su cui ci si è esercitati, però un validissimo supporto per chi inizia ad esplorare questo mondo e un bel ricordo da tenere sempre comodo nell’armadio.

La tapa estaba un poco estropeada, con la esquina desgastada y una rozadura. Basicamente moldes para copiar la caligrafia. Letras bonitas en un libro de plantillas sin mucho mas.

Sou calígrafa, e estava ansiosa por esse livro! Ensina com muita clareza, e tem os gabaritos todos corretos.

Libro semplice e facile da seguire, anche dai principianti. Utili le pagine per esercitarsi.
