what is the difference between roasted and green bean unroasted coffee?

I hope I'm not giving too simple of an answer. I'm thinking the question is being asked by someone not familiar with coffee beans and how coffee is made. You cannot grind green beans and use in whatever coffee machine you use and get drinkable coffee. It has to be roasted for that. People buy green beans to get the freshest coffee they can get as coffee grains start going bad as soon as it is roasted and faster as soon as it's ground. So we roast our own from green beans to our liking. Hope that was the info you were looking for.

How long can these be stored in the burlap bag?

I keep the raw coffee until I roast it; my 10 lbs. bag lasts about 1 1/2 months.

If I were to buy the 25lb option, does it come in one big bag or five smaller 5lb bags?
