Great product!
Great quality, heavy which is good and the price was just right. Size is typical for a regular tailor's ham. Smooth edges so very easy to steam on. Would recommend.

Tailor’s Ham for Garment Shaping & Pressing Curves
This tailor’s ham is well made and durable. The firmness holds up under heat and steam, making pressing more precise than using a flat surface. A perfect tool for garment sewing and tailoring projects.

High quality and does the job!
This does the job really well, I’m very happy with my purchase. Sometimes I wish it were a bit bigger but I know there are other products for that out there.

No more unwanted creases
I've had this in my wish list for a while and finally purchased it. I haven't used mine yet but had used a friend's some years ago. They're a great addition to the sewing room, ironing routine and general crafting. Just be mindful that each side is used for different temperature settings. The one I received is well made and I look forward to using it for whatever creativity my mind comes up with.

Mildew smell...
I was already familiar with this particular tailor ham as a friend has one. I like the size and shape, and the materials are fine for me. I didn't experience any problem with the fabric melting or anything. I don't know what the deal is with this one, but it smelled like mildew right out of the package. I have stuffed it in a bag with some moisture absorber packs and hope that helps to pull the smell out. Since it is stuffed with sawdust, there isn't anything you can do to wash it. I didn't really see where anyone else had this problem, so maybe it is a fluke for me? I will give it some time and update if it airs out okay. As for the cancer warning on the label, it is because it is full of sawdust (and not cancerous chemical soaked sawdust, plain non chemically treated sawdust). Apparently, inhaling plain sawdust (as in if you cut wood and breathe in that air) can cause cancer. You are not breathing in this sawdust (it is fully enclosed) but it doesn't make any difference to the California cancer warning. So if you don't cut it open, throw it in the air, and inhale it all, you will be fine. Update: After leaving it in a bag with some moisture absorber packs, the smell is pretty well gone. I spritzed some febreeze on there and it smells nice now so I moved it up to four stars. Annoying, but glad it worked. I don't know why the manufacturer doesn't ship it with something to absorb odors and moisture.

NICE TO KNOW THE QUALITY SURVIVED
As a longterm sewer and craftsmaker, I have a 50 year old taylors "ham". I was nervous about ordering online without seeing and feeling the quality. Dritz is a well known name in sewing products. They have stayed true to the quality! Impressive. I do recommend and appreciate the great price point. Thanks!

Great tailor's ham
I bought this tailor's ham after seeing a You Tube video on using HTV on baseball caps. It made such a difference while pressing the HTV onto my cap. It was easy to place inside the cap, felt substantial, and sturdy enough to get nice even pressure. A must for crafters.

Seam Roll for Pressing
As I teach my students, it's vital to press as you sew. This tool helps you do that. It's a firmly stuffed roll, similar to a pressing ham, with wool flannel on one side and cotton twill on the other. Use the flannel side for pressing wool and other low-temperature fabrics; use the twill side for pressing cottons and other high-temperature fabrics. The seam roll is designed to help you press narrow areas, such as sleeves and pant legs, or even doll or baby clothes. Insert the seam roll into the narrow area to be pressed, then press the seam. The roll will support the seam, keeping it elevated, so you don't crease the edges of the garment. Note: If you have a garment that's too narrow for the seam roll, such as doll pants or the sleeve on a baby's dress, you can use the handle of a wooden spoon to serve the same purpose. This seam roll works perfectly, no problems whatsoever. I'll give it five stars and highly recommend it to anyone who sews.
