I read all of the good reviews on these and decided to give them a try. However, there are a few things I wish I had known that are dealbreakers for me, and I won't be using them. These protectors don't have a 'standard' look and feel to them. What I mean is, I've purchased protectors from a few different companies, and for the most part you can mix and match them in your collection and not really tell. These protectors are sized differently (smaller) than most. The games fit fine, they just aren't the same size and don't line up on a shelf with more 'standard' size protectors out there. They also have an additional small flap or tab on the outer ends that others don't. But worst of all in my opinion, is the large, embossed company logo on one end flap, that if you don't want it showing, pretty much dictates how you orient the protector on the box. What this means is that depending on what edge/spine of the box art you want to display, you may have the long horizontal box seam running across your box art. These are probably small gripes for most people, but for those with displays and game-rooms that have to think about these things, consider this a PSA.

The one thing I wish I'd known before buying these is that Malko embosses a company logo on the plastic. Besides being a consideration for display purposes, this leaves me uneasy that years of otherwise careful storage and display would leave the logo imprinted on the cardboard box that it's supposed to protect. Will not be using these.I mean, what collector (besides a Malko employee, I guess) wants to display the brand of box protector they use, anyways?Another reviewer mentioned the boxes were slightly smaller than others, but in my experience the reverse is true -- these are slightly larger than others I own. In fact, I was able to comfortably slide a competing brand's box protector into one of these Malko box protectors. This isn't a problem to me, I rather expect different brands to having slightly different sizing, but was something I wanted to address since another reviewer mentioned it.

I treat these as almost sleeves for the boxes. They fit nicely and seem to protect them quite well. They aren't hard cases so they won't be able to support too much weight, but will do nicely to help preserve the box. You will need to fold or assemble the boxes yourself before you can use them as they come flat. But don't worry as the folds keep their shape well. (It's definitely not like paper or even cardboard). Would definitely recommend getting these if you own any boxes. The sleeve can be tricky to open or even to figure out how it folds up, but once you get it it's not that hard.

I absolutely love these plastic cases for my N64 boxes! I was previously given a similar plastic case for one of my N64 games, but it never stayed closed. These, however, have a tiny flap on both sides of the box (which my other one didn’t have), so they don’t have that issue! It really helps them stay safely closed. They’re also not difficult whatsoever to put together. Prior to purchasing, I read some other reviews that said these boxes require some assembly, so I was worried it may have been more than just setting a regular box together. But thankfully they’re not! I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for safe storage for their N64 games.

As a new N64 retro game collector, I was searching for some high-quality box protectors in order to keep my newly purchased CIB N64 games intact. I stumbled upon Malko's box protectors for N64 and SNES and I decided to give them a try! When receiving the product, I could tell that the material felt of a high quality and that these cases are quite durable. When you first get them, you have to unfold them yourselves like doing origami which does take some time to get it perfect, but the end result is awesome! The Cases are not only durable, but they feature a special film that helps preserve the box-art intact! What makes these boxes even better is the extra locking mechanism featured on one side which I like to have the right side protected since that is the usual side retro game boxes open from. These box protectors make old game boxes look brand new too as they are excellent for using to display your collection! Overall, the product is a very good one and I can highly recommend this product to any retro N64 and SNES collector that wants there products protected, preserved, and displayed!

I used to love these protectors. Then, the company made the inexplicable decision to emboss their logo on the side flap. Now, we aren’t talking about a small tasteful logo. No sir, this thing takes up half of the flap and is visible from across the room. See my attached pics to understand what I mean. They of course chose the flap that faces outward when you have the video game on a shelf, meaning that your video game shelf will scream MALKO, MALKO, MALKO if you exclusively use these protectors. You could turn the game around in the protector so the logo faces backwards, but then the protector seam is at the top of the game. (Again, see my pics.) This is totally unacceptable and I really hope the company takes all the negative feedback on here to heart and reverts to their old design. Yes, I know you guys spent lots of money on these new molds, but they’re garbage and you need to admit your mistake and make some new ones.

First huge problem with these, they all come with a huge "MALKO" moulded into the plastic, for any collector this is an instant fail, we don't want to see your name on our games and to include it in huge letters in a very visible post is just poor egotism.I purchased these and a set of box protectors from mighty ape as well, expected them both to be identical from a chinese supplier. To my surprise the ones from mighty ape were acid free, extremely high quality, fitted the games perfectly and kept their shape well, feeling off a high quality plastic.The malko cases were terrible and when compared to the generic mighty ape ones, it was clear that these guys were out of their league.The plastic used is not of high quality on the malko, neither is the design, the two tab and close design works great on the mighty ape cases, here it doesn't at all, and they knew this s they included an outer hook to lock it in which actually causes damage to your cart box and leaves to cut ints for the hook that expose your box.The plastic being of law quality means it doesnt fold or shape fit as its meant to and instead of fitting n64 boxes perfectly it leaves tiny gaps that at first don't seem like much of a deal but when the box is closed up and corners refuse to stay in position and want to bend back it really does not do the box any favors keeping it intact.In closing, Malko, make a higher quality product with better design and get your damn name off it.

El material es bastante bueno, se ven muy bien la caja y los protege muy bien. Lo único que no me gustó es la forma en que se abre la caja.

Material bastante resitente y durarero, faciles de esamblar, muy buena calidad y creo con un precio accesible, como coleccionista recomiendo
