XBOX SEAGATE 8TB HDD EXTERNAL USB
Bought this HDD as the NVME expansion drive was only 1tb and cost a whopping 199 GBP at the time. Microsoft were doing an offer for 2 NVME drives for 194.99 GBP but still 2tb was still too small and I would have to "hot-swop" them whenever I wanted to access the stuff I saved as it would be 2 drives of 1tb each. The pros were the speed which allowed "quick resume" and being able to play from external NVME. This might be features you want or maybe not its upto you. The HDD was 149 GBP it is a fast drive and allows me to save games on its giant 8TB capacity. I cannot play XS games or "quick resume" from HDD but you can copy XS games to the internal NVME. You can play 360 and some X1 games. The drive has a cool green glow and comes in XFAT format but if you want the most out of it then format it to NTFS as the files system is much better than XFAT and Xbox XS has no issues recognising it. The drive is good value for money and it allows you to store movies and music. I use the "Game Pass" and download my game as default to the HDD until I want to play them, as stated 360 games word of HDD and some X1 work of HDD. If you find your game choppy or slow them move it to internal storage and try again. Overall the HDD is very impressive and will give other HDD a run for there money. If you want a good value option buy this product if not then you might want to wait until the 2230 NVME storage chips are more readily available so that manufacturers can offer more that 1 or 2 tb capacities.

10 seconds to install!
This thing is insane, I bought the 8TB one and have fit every OG Xbox, 360 and Xbox One game on gamepass, Games with gold, ea play and the 100s I personally own, and I still have 750GB. All you do it plug it in to a socket, attach that to the HDD, connect the usb to the Xbox and it's good. Your Xbox will ask if you want to format it, obviously you do and it doesn't matter if you select if it's for the 1 console or if you're gonna use it for multiple ones. Disclaimer, this cannot run S|X games, you'll need an SSD as the HDD isn't fast enough.

It's almost plug and play.
All you have to do is plug it in and format it, which for some reason is either games OR media. You can then set it up to automatically receive everything downloaded or solely backwards compatible games direct to this drive. Any BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE Xbox, Xbox 360 or Xbox One games ARE PLAYABLE direct from this drive. All Series S or X only content needs to be transferred to the console itself. It’s also whisper quiet (it’s brand new so why wouldn’t it be?) and lightning quick. For example; if you were to download and remove Series S/X games each time you used up or gained hard drive space on the console itself it could take hours each time. Download once, then copy or move games back and forth from this device in minutes thanks to the supplied 1Gbps capable cable. The LEDs can be changed (of a fashion). To do this you need a PC and Seagate Toolkit software. You’ll probably also need them to install any firmware updates. From there you can alter the brightness of the green or turn it off. Users CANNOT alter the colour. You can also turn off the status LED. However, for some bizarre reason the green LEDs don’t switch off when the console is shutdown using a controller or media remote (02/01/24 - They do go out after about 5mins after the console shutdown), but they do go out when you shutdown via the main on/off switch or from within the Power Options whilst in Settings. In conclusion: It’s excellent, provided you take advantage of its uses and understand its limitations. It could even become perfect if any forthcoming update solves the aforementioned power/LED conundrum (02/01/24 - appears to be unnecessary). Add SSD into the mix and it may well be unsurmountable. Do your console a favour and buy it.

Does what it's supposed to. Would recommend.
The drive is probably a little bigger than other external 8TB HDD. It's not a huge difference nor is it a problem. The drive will position vertically or horizontally. It's clearly designed with either in mind. Formatting via Xbox was simple. It is reasonably fast. There are faster drives but this didn't seem overly slow either. It's certainly faster than re-downloading games. It does make noise in use. I have both quieter and louder external HDDs. The green RGB lighting is nowhere near as bright in reality as the photos make it appear. I was worried it would be too distracting. but so far it's not too annoying. If your Xbox uses stand by mode the drive will stay on and lit up. If you select a full shutdown from within the Xbox settings it will power down the drive as well as the Xbox. Overall it's a bit average...but I am in fact really pleased with it. For the price it seems very reasonable and the things that might have been annoying have proven to be easily manageable. Would recommend.

Hola. El uso del disco duro fue para guardar juegos de la consola Xbox. Es estético, la luz verde le da un toque especial, el disco duro cumple las funciones que esperamos para los juegos de 360, esperemos que así sea su desempeño para serie X.

I purchased this drive before Christmas due to the fact my series X and expansion card we’re getting a little full. I had to return the 1st one in about a week. First off the green light never came on….ever. I let that go cause it was just a cosmetic thing. Then for no reason the drive would just continue to disconnect from my Xbox. Got the new one today and set it up. Low and behold the green light is on….woo hoo lol. I’m in the process of moving some games to it as I write this. Please remember you can’t play series X games directly from this drive. It’s just to store them and to transfer back when your ready to play it again. Believe me the transfer rate is way higher then redownloading it. I hope this review helps someone down the road. I’ll post an update later down the road.

I love this external drive. I don't know if it's really made especially for the XBOX or not, but what is certain is that it works very well with the Xbox Series X, which is the console I have. Whenever I have a game that I don't want to play anymore, but I haven't completed it all yet, I instantly switch to this Seagate external drive, which allows me to have more space available on the Series X's internal drive, without having to lose all my progress. of the games I have. All Xbox 360 and Xbox One games can be played from the Seagate external hard drive, games marked with the X/S symbol cannot be played directly, but it doesn't matter, because you can easily move a game from the external hard drive. to the internal disk of the Xbox Series Furthermore, it has a green LED, which gives a pleasant atmosphere, in keeping with the Xbox. The 8TB version is the most compatible in my opinion. You don't need to worry about space anymore. I love it and recommend it. In addition, the product also comes with a free subscription to Game Pass Ultimate for 1 month. Great!
