I guess so the website says - NON-TOXIC and made in the USA in Burleson, TX using all organic ingredients.

Good Afternoon, All the parts we use to make our sand are non-toxic. However, we do not recommend that our sand is used in any terrarium setting.

Q: is this more green like the top picture or more aqua like the mint in the bottom picture?

It's more green its very accurate to the mint green picture. Hope this helps
