Vive Arm Sling Shoulder Immobilizer for Left or Right - Elbow Injury Relief

I brought this arm sling after suffering from a frozen shoulder, and I needed to mobilize my arm. i bought one from a local store but it did not support my arm. I purchased this one from Amazon. The quality and the material were great. It gave a lot of support to my arm and shoulder. The extra padding around the strap helped prevent the strap from digging into my skin. The material was sturdy and comfortable, and not flimsy. It had a thumb holder to help support your arm. My frozen shoulder was able to heal in less time than expected thanks to this well-made arm sling with extra shoulder padding support. I definitely recommend this product. The price was good, the quality was great, and it came quickly in a new box. So, if you are looking for a good arm sling to support your arm wrist, or shoulder, choose this product. for quick healing, and support for your arm. I was impressed at the quality the arm sling was made from. I returned the one I bought from my local pharmacy, and this arm sling became my everyday arm sling. I've had this for a month and am using it for a fractured wrist with arm in cast. Even though the straps adjust front and back, the part where your elbow goes is pretty deep, and I couldn't get comfortable wearing it at first. Then I had the idea to put a folded up cashmere scarf in the elbow area, and then this sling fit like a dream and is super comfortable. The scarf is like a pillow for my elbow, which makes it even better. I'm giving this 5 stars because it's very well made, can be adjustable, and the shoulder strap part is very comfortable and padded. It's not hot in warm weather, and the material feels fine on skin; there are no itchy parts. For fit reference, I'm 5'9, 135 lb, and I have thin, long limbs. I do not think this would work for petite people because the length from elbow to thumb end is not adjustable. If you have short arms, your hand will be lost inside it, which is not good health wise.

I broke my wrist and have had a cast to about 3 inches below the elbow. I’m 5’7” 130lbs., female. I really have nothing to compare this sling to since it’s my first and only one so far - but I found it met my needs. It does not have a one hand adjustable strap but I found that I adjusted the strap only once and never had to change it again - so that worked out fine. The shoulder strap has a wider, somewhat padded area. The wider part didn’t bother me when I had heavier clothes on but I’m in Florida and frequently wear tee shirts- the strap was sometimes annoying as it dug into my neck. I’ve sorta gotten used to that but often put the strap on my shoulder and not near my neck. The strap is the only reason I made this review 4 stars and not 5. The depth of the sling where the arm rests is adequate. The length is good and there are two thumb loops to keep your arm from moving around. I couldn’t always use the thumb holds since the thumb felt connected to my broken wrist. There are two pockets inside the sling that are big enough to hold a credit card and a key - but not a cell phone. I stick my cell phone in the sling anyway. All in all, it’s become a close personal companion and it works just fine for my needs and the money.

I am pre-surgery with left rotator cuff damage and am in a fair amount of pain without the use of a sling. I am very pleased with the quality and comfort of this sling. For the price, especially! I find it breathable, soft, and supportive. The neck strap has a great cushion. There are some reviews that mention the strap being rough - the rough side goes on the outside, not against your neck. The inside mesh pockets are a nice touch, but just a wee bit too small for my android phone. The straps are easy to adjust for a great fit. This was a great purchase for me.

The sling seems to be quite well made and durable, well-priced. Breathable material, but I find it a bit itchy; otherwise, comfortable. The thumb, stabilizing elastic is a bit short and pulls my thumb back uncomfortably; also, because both ends are stitched at the same point, it tends to compress and occasionally causes numbness with prolonged use.

Started out with a shemagh folded into a triangle "bandage" to support my broken wrist after splinting. Ortho did splint and I stuck with my homemade sling until I could order this one on Amazon. Makes all the difference in the word for comfort! Features include: - Full forearm support - I'm about 6' tall with a 34-5" shirt sleeve length. - Nicely padded shoulder strap - beats the heck out a sling with a knot at my neck. - Easily adjustable with velcro straps thru nylon buckles. - Totally reversible - easy fit for either arm. - Right and left handed thumb loops to keep it from slipping (if you want to use them. - Two inside pockets for small items, like cell phone if held vertically. When my wrist's healed, it'll ge washed and store for any possible future use.

This sling is very comfortable and is easy to adjust and use. I like the materials it is constructed of. Very breathable and dries very fast after washing. There are two thumb loops and a padded cuff that adds comfort and something additional to grab onto. The inner pockets are a bonus... and, can hold my micro-sized wallet... but, are too small to hold my plus size phone. This sling is definitely an excellent replacement for the sling the hospital gave me after my shoulder surgery. I would recommend this sling for its quality and price.

Fortunately I didn't need to wear this sling more than 10 days after my shoulder surgery because I hated it. I found it to have several issues that made it uncomfortable/useless for me: One, the mesh material on the strap is VERY scratchy on the side and irritated my neck - I had to wrap a washcloth around it to even be able to wear the sling. Two - this thing is huge and probably better suited to a man. I am 5' 7" and even with both sides of the strap adjusted to the shortest positions it hung too low to support my elbow, so it wasn't really doing what it's supposed to do, which is take the weight off your shoulder! I thought I was doing something wrong so I asked my physical therapist to help me adjust it and find a way for it to be comfortable. After fiddling with it he too realized it was just way too big and would never work for me. He also told me the angle that the strap sits is wrong and will never hold your arm in the best angle. Three - the material does not breathe and it made my arm sweaty - again I had to use a washcloth to line it so I wouldn't feel so hot in it. Would never recommend this sling!

I recommend this product, arrived quickly, product exactly like description; after trying 3-4 other slings from various sellers, I decided to keep this one. It fits well, the sling length is expandable around the moveable cushion to position behind your neck is great!

Ordered this for staff at rehab hospital, staff were happy with quality
