This item is a terrific accessory to your planer. It will individualise the planer as a unit and allow for easy maneuverability. Solid unit. Also consider the entry and exit flat metal extention attachments, a seperate purchase. Will complete the entire package and is well worth it.

As many have already said - just get it, you will not be disappointed. I will echo that there is only one fairly small exploded view of the assembly, and no step by step guidance - it pays to be a visual-spatial thinker when putting this together. That said, everything went together easier than the off brand I bought. Holes in the right place, pieces line up - it was an easy solo assembly. Like many, I purchased an "alternate" brand tool caddy when I bought by DW735 because I was already spending a good deal on the tool and thought I could save a bit of money. In the long run I bought this and realize I should have done so first. The gage of sheet metal used is thicker than most - not a detail you see when looking at the pictures but you definitely notice it when putting it together - particularly if you have bought an off brand and assembled it. The levering wheel assembly is FAR more robust than the off-brand competitors - you instantly notice the difference upon unpacking. The pre-drilled MDF top for the DW733, DW734, and DW735 makes alignment foolproof, AND this tool stand COMES WITH the hardware necessary for mounting your planer! When everything was bolted together I was impressed by the sturdiness, usability, and presentation. I'm very glad I bought this despite already having a rolling caddy (which another tool has migrated to). This sets the standard for what you need and want, and in my experience everything else has been lesser.

As the headline suggests, rock solid piece of kit. I ignored the manual and had a YouTube video running on the TV which guided me through putting it together. Checkout Jenny from the shop's video on how to assemble this thing. Also, I had clamps to help squeeze/expand holes into alignment (as pictured). There's no way of doing this manually while attempting to drive the bolts in. This is rarely available in the UK. I got it with free US import at £151 (July 2023), so hold out for the best price. Highly recommended, my planer is finally secure and much safer to use.

The Planer does exactly what it is meant to. The stand is sturdy and easy to move. The Planer (DW735) bolts right to the stand via the pre-drilled holes. Assembly is straight forward with easy to follow instructions. Takes about 30 minutes to assemble. The stand is so good, I bought a second one for my Jointer. Recommended
