Quick and Easy Replacement
I replaced a failed wireless integrated sensor suite (ISS) transmitter and decided to replace the temperature/humidity sensor at the same time. My Davis Vantage Pro2 station has been in continual service for 14+ years. Replacement was very easy. Unplug temperature/humidity sensor from ISS circuit board. Remove the shield assembly from the weather station by removing three screws. Locate temperature/humidity sensor. Unscrew the three screws from the old temperature/humidity sensor; don't lose these screws since the new temperature/humidity sensor does not include the screws. Install new sensor and then install shielding back onto the weather station. Plug temperature/humidity sensor into ISS circuit board. The new temperature/humidity sensor I installed appears to be very accurate and did not require an adjustment to report the correct temperature and humidity.

These are pretty easy to install
These are pretty easy to install, and seems to wear out every few years. The normal failure mode I see is they stop reporting humidity when close to 100%. I wonder if they just go offscale and report invalid data.

It works...
This was a replacement for a sensor that was approximately 17 years old. The one being replaced just stopped reporting consistent readings or simply none at all (zero). On inspection there wasn't any apparent breakage or disintegration of material or connections....it just stopped working properly. I guess it just wore out. The new one worked instantly and I'm totally satisfied with this replacement.
